So I've currently got a regal xl in. 22 that in happy with. It shoots well, looks nice, etc. I've got the bug to try something new though. Im thinking either wildcat compact or crown synthetic. Side lever cocking is very attractive to me!
my hangup is how quiet those are in comparison to my regal with hugget shroud and suppressor. Anyone know how they compare?

Try these for sound tests, then you'll need to figure out how loud the Regal XL is as you'd got it moderated. The Wildcat looked like it was around 86db right out of the box and that's really quiet and in .25 which will probably be a bit louder than a .22. Tune the power down a bit and it'll even be quieter.

I have the wildcat compact .25 and is very quiet!

Got a Wildcat Mk1 … the older, not compact version … with a Donny FL Sumo in .25 that is quieter than my Marauder in .22 or my Impact in .25.... in other words, it is VERY quiet.
