What springer did you shoot today?

I haven't shot my springers for awhile. Summer in S. Florida is not kind to outdoor sports...but today I had a bit of time before the sun went down that was not brutal ;-). So I chose my .177 HW30 with a custom stock and my FWB 150. Still obsessed with the FWB, and it delivered!

Love your 30 stock.
I haven’t put a scope on a FWB yet. Looks tempting.
‘Wore shorts and tee yesterday and sweat. Today long pants sweater and quilted shirt. Crow

My eyes require magnification. And that rifle demands it at 30 yds...

It’s been a couple months.
I put in a Vortek seal and Maccari spring.
It wasn’t a cakewalk.
I was so discouraged, I had to buy an HW45.
After an unsolicited and encouraging message from one of the Jedi Masters of the spring, I climbed back down the HW35 hole.
The second reassembly went very well.
Thanks Nick for the videos and everyone else at the best airgun forum.
Today I put the BB on, cleaned off the blood, and took a few shots at 15 yards.

Looking forward to getting outside for the first time scoped. Relegated to basement shooting for now and fishing.

We all had to start at the bottom and learn as we go. Is that the 35 with the big brass safety button? Nice shooting and good job on the rebuild.

It's been raining here for a solid week, temps in the morning low 50's and no humidity. Then the wind cranked up past couple of days.🤦🏼 Really nice weather for this time of the year, normally by now it's in the 90's, and I'm glad it isn't.

It’s windy as hell and cold but took out a HW77 .20.

3-4th time shooting this one and proving to be a favorite. This is the gun.
I noticed on the 97 long that the cocking arm is shorter. The longer arm on the 77 is one of my wants. Difference jacking is noticeable.
These targets 35 yds. Smallest 1 in. squares 2 in.

I ordered army men to screw to the tops of the poles. Crow

Thanks. That first tinker is a tough one. Not without scratches, stripping threads, and improper tools. I’ve passed a small hump and have more, but not too much.
It is my HW35 pictured. The brass safety button is hit or miss. My trigger is lined up perfectly, yet the safety isn’t always catching.

Are cocking it all the way down to pop the safety out. Does the safety fit loosely in the end block. maybe a tolerance issue, if it wasn't doing it with the factory safety.

Ground up some branches and found time to shoot a HW97 .177.View attachment 566800Can’t beat a 97 with a club. Still cold and strong winds. Crow
my 97 .177 is so easy to be exactly on target , Wonderful guns ! The very dark laminate looks good

I spent about an hour shooting my Annie 280 offhand. I basically bought the gun because it is very close in weight, balance, and trigger to my Annie Match 54 in 22lr. It's a really nice gun. I can at least keep up with most if not all of the local SSP and PCP guys standing, Not bad for an old guy with an old gun.....
