What springer did you shoot today?

Shot a few HW30’s today both .177. Rain all day.

These guns are gifts. Doesn’t get much better. Green is coming back.

Cleaned gun room for a few hours today. It’s like a black hole.
This table top is a POS it’s already delaminating. It’s always covered.

Crow

Sorry to see that crow. I made a laminated hard maple top about 1.5" thick for woodcarving around 1979. It is showing tiny spots like yours but I don't understand. It has been in a dry basement and I stood the pieces on edge so carving tools would hit slightly harder wood. Lots of hours went into making that. I got lucky and for sanding after laminating the top I had a buddy with a 49" platen driven sander. The belt/platen would go forward at a chosen rate, the thickness was cranked down to a precise thickness. It cost me nothing but the belts that clogged up with old glue. I have used that bench for carving and general gun tinkering ever since. Yes, some airguns have had scope mounts done there. All kinds of fun. A great project but I don't know where the plans are now. It has a wood vise on one end and one side. I don't have a photo, I'm a dinosaur. Roar. Be Well Brothers, B.

I have one of those benches, only a couple of months old. I will have to keep an eye on it. It sits outside. When not in use I cover it with a large heavy vinyl tarp then a vinyl coated fabric cover for a large gas grill. Directly on the bench, front art I have a smaller folded canvas tarp to protect the surface. On that my tripod and rear bag sits and when not in use all that sits under a rectangular shaped gavalnized tub.

I didn’t think this wood top would stand up here especially Oak. The other Stable table I have, has a plastic top, which I’ve never had a problem, other than looking cheesy. And a little smaller.
This wood table I cover it with a moving blanket and then a plastic cover when not in use.
Another wood top would be nothing to make. Crow

After about four different tune configurations on the used HW98 or #2 as I call it, I currently have it shooting at 11 ft lbs or about 760 fps depending on the pellet. Very easy to cock at this power. ( This scope is for testing purposes only).

This one doesn't like being shot off of bags. I can get decent groups with it resting on my hand, while my hand is on top of the bag. Here's todays
20 yard groups, the one with vertical stringing was off the bags, then I switched to off my hand and the other three groups tightened up.

At 40 yards I was averaging about an 1" size groups, but 1/2" is possible if I really try. ✌🏻
