What springer did you shoot today?

Haven’t shot any of my air rifles for the last 9 days since free standing and shooting my Benjamin Titan at 10 meters.
So from the depths of my enormous safe (that only holds 4 rifles) I grabbed my 22 cal Hw77 and shot 9 pellets, one for each day at 25 meters. 5 on the left, 3 in the middle and one on the right.
Happy days
Gary

Don't have any 97s but a 77 in 20. It is one sweet gun. No 98s either. Must remedy that one day. But working on a deal on a Mauser 404 Jeffries. Other things can come next month. I have Mothers' Day and an anniversary to take care of. Hmmmm. No more guns for perhaps the next three months? Thanks goodness for credit cards. Be Well Brothers, Bandito.

Today's favorite is my Crosman Mendoza RM 377 .177 break barrel.
Although not high powered it has a great firing cadence and is a great shooter.
I miss just enough to keep it interesting with open sights offhand at soupcans, etc. at up to 30 yards.
Don't underestimate these older Mendoza's what a fun gun to shoot!

Hey Bandito, buy her a gun. Kill 2 birds, 1 stone. And saving the marriage. Good luck

Raining today. Isn’t that awful. Already got almost of shooting in before noon. Started with my first Air Arms, a TX200 .22. Great gun.

Also shot a TX200 Hunter .22. Superb accuracy at 45 yds. I find the jacking harder than the TX thanks to arthritis. I’m thinking this and the .177 will be the fisrt up for sale, for this reason.

Let it rain. Crow

Been shooting the Crosman Summit 4.5mm every day for a fortnight, and can't get enough. Was a total lemon out of the box though (not unexpected, but all pellets grouped close to 3" !) but after sorting out the barrel (crown, leade in and bore polish), making up a set of guides (and balancing out the cycle, ended up with 3.4mm TP and piston at 200gr) it's become my favourite sporter-

Hacked off the original plastic cocking aid, and made up/ powder coated a replacement from aluminium (the balance was already spot on so no extra weight needed) and now shes shooting 5p sized groups at 30y with both superfields at 11.2 and ftt's at 11.7fpe-

For a cheap lightweight .177, im absolutely blown away with both the handling and cycle. Sporting a reparellaxed 4x32 vantage, its just become my new go to hunting rig (short vid to show cycle)....

Man o man just shot two rifles I don’t remember ever shooting. This company has to make springers again. First up a FWB 150. Just wow wow and wow. Check out my target stand. View attachment 560583Can you say perfect. This gun is worthy. Very happy with this one. Precision
Another beautiful masterpiece a FWB 601. Do I ever like the workmanship on these guns. Rembrandts. View attachment 560585This is a really cool gun. The breach opens automatically when jacking it. Ingenious. Could probably make you a coffee and sandwich. Can’t wait to play with these a little more.
Only an 1 1/2 hour shoot today. Crow
Stock on that 150 is nice, I have two, on actually in UPS hands to be delivered tomorrow after getting resealed and new springs , also a 300s that I bought new back around 1984 and a 602 Meistergrade, slightly upgrade or modified 601, but the Meistergrade has a beautiful walnut stock. It had a few minor scars which easily steamed and sanded out, right along the forearm rail, so I reworked it and it looks almost new.

For a more extended shooting session I like the 150 and 300 rifles over the 602, that SSP is much harder to cock, or charge to shoot than cocking one of those fantastic springers, plus if I want to shoot offhand, the 602 is much heavier, accuracy for my part they are very similar.

My bench setup is almost identical to yours, same BR bench and front rest. Instead of a heavy shipping pad, I have a thick canvas tarpaulin . I am in the process of making a "sled" for my front rest so the feet will not penetrate the tarp and scar my bench top, It's basically a piece of 1x12 oak board, I cut short 45 angles on front so no sharp corner, and then a long taper on end for long end of the front rest, then 3 holes about 1/4 way through board to register feet of the rest. It is smoot enough that I can slide it on the tarp , but still heavy enough to stay put while shooting. Right now It is out under my carport with a second application of linseed oil to seal and make it water repellant just in case. We are supposed to get heavy rain today so no chance to try it out.

2pm here now, just tried to look outside and it is dark, almost like night. Light rain and lots of thunder. Just checked rain gauge, 2 1/2 inches in just under 1 1/2 hours. Yard is soaked, too soggy to get out to set up targets.

I’ll tell you. If I see another of any of them for sale. I’d be all over them.
Just got my eye pieces in. I think 510’s. Try out tomorrow.

I like the big rain at nite on range under lites. With scope you can see collision with all drops. Really cool. Like a tracer. Crow
