What springer did you shoot today?

Still at work today. I shot my old Barnett Spitfire yesterday. That was my first venture into something other than my even older Sheridan Blue Streak. It doesn't seem real powerful but it has tore up a couple pellet traps, still shoots well after owning it for 35 years. I like the Side lever guns. I have a couple Diana side levers as well.

Ran these 4 through the crony this morning. Then beat some target up with them.

HW80K .25, HW97KL .20, Pro Sport .22 and a HW30 black .177. All have satisfied results from being worked on. The 80 has had a complete personality change. Man is it different for the good, sound and accuracy. Just ripped cans, with no mercy.
The 97 was smacking snow targets 50-65 yds. away easily.
‘And the bonding with the Pro Sport, easy., which seamed to step it up about two notches with the Vortek. I am so impressed with this rifle. It feels like no other, accuracy if you can do it, so can the PS. The looks are second to none IMO. And internals sing the same tune.
‘The 30 has iron sights so I was shooting off hand.I could hold this rifle with my elbow. Great gun. I can see this gun used more in the future. Have it in .22 as well. Crow

I agree with you on the HW80. Vortek kit in it has made it one of my favorites!

Yes, what a change. I cut 1 coil off a plus spring kit to lighten the jacking. Not only is the accuracy deadly. It’s throwing a .25 cal. 30 FPS faster. Crow
yesterday. Was still wringing out the new HW95 I was really wanting to put vortek kit in. But man the bad press about them has me nervous . Always had good luck in the Diana’s
95’s a great gun. I put a Vortek in a R9 .20 last week. One of 5 Vortek’s I installed in last 2 weeks. My R9 didn’t need it, It was one of my favorites, but it won the lottery. I’ve had no problem so far. Every one I installed made a positive improvement. This is new to me. Crow

Theiben Crusader .20 Cal...been in storage for months...got it out ran a patch through it, took six shots to re familiarize myself with it than took five shots for effect....25 yards off my knee using H & N 11.42's @ 840 fps...will be my last group with it cause it has found a new home...Can't keep 'em all.

23F. today on the range for a total over 4 hours. In the after noon had to drop the blind to stop the snow and wind, worked great.

HW97 .177, HW95 .177, HW98 .177, Diana 34 Prem. and a HW85 .22.
|Put about 50 rounds through the 85, 95 and the Diana. The 98 and 97 hogged the day. The 98 is a must have gun, what a sweet heart. So receptive and comfortable.
‘The 97 was the champ.

‘Made some really nice long shots. It snowed all day so I get endless snow balls in the trees, 50-65 yds. away. Really like winter shooting. When I shoot under the lites at nite you almost need sun glasses from reflecting the light. Crow

18 F. no wind, so I head out this morning with two cousin. They actually shot like twins, their accuracy was equal.

Ones a K mode, ones not. Makes no differenc. Shot a 97KL and same deal.
Whoever named the laser a laser. I think they made a mistake, should of called it HW77.

What a treat to shoot. Wicked accuracy at 65 yds.
I really don’t need two 97’s .177, just can’t part with either. I put a 12 kit in one.
‘This is what I have to dig through to paint my targets. On 3rd can of paint this year, 16 cans last year.

Little dangerous getting the top ones. Mountain Goat would refuse. Crow

Crow, what model is that lam with the long barrel? All I see on HW site and Krale are 97K versions. It looks longer than my 97K “long barrel” but the barrel is flush with the cocking arm.
I just know it as HW77 special edition .177. I have a 77 in .22 with same barrel, top two. All leathal. Just turned one year old. Crow The angle of the shot with camera distorts.

I put the new(to me) HW30S through it's paces at 20 meters today. Big thanks to @Terryb00 for hooking me up with this beauty. I'm afraid the 50 is now dethroned as the bird feeder gatekeeper and anointed the new English sparrow terminator.

After receiving it around noon via UPS I deep cleaned the barrel, mounted a Leupold 3-9 EFR on a one-piece mount, and made sure all screws were tight and loc-tite. It's interesting how it always takes a couple dozen pellets to properly "season" a barrel for consistent accuracy...at least in my experience.

In this case, I had JSB 7.33 grain on hand and they shot beautifully at 20 meters. This HW30S is such a joy to shoot and significantly quieter and more docile than both my HW50 and HW97. The last three 5-shot groups were all well under 1/2"...good enough for the kinds of critters I'm going to be shooting with it out to 30 meters. What a piece of kit!

Such an awesome gun. If I live to 95 and I’m still jacking a springer. It’ll be a 30. Crow

Got about 3 hours shooting in today. 22 F. was the high but sunny. I took these 3 outView attachment 328499
TX 200 .177, HW 50 .22 and a Diana 54 pro .22.
The 50 fun shooting spinners. Had a vibration in the spring but so accurate. Tonites job.
‘The Diana, I just don’t get this one. You carry it and it feels like it’s falling apart. Hits like a Mac truck. About four times it kicked as though the slide didn’t work.
‘The TX was incredible as far as accuracy goes. I had a hard time releasing the cocking arm in the cold, hard on the finger tips. Once the sun ducked behind some trees, had to go in.

I got the 50 apart. Tomorrow I’ll reassemble. Crow
