Awesome shooting. Not familiar with that gun, but I like it. Sweet wood and I love the muzzle end. Crow
MY idea of "taking advantage of the temp's " is closer to 53 degrees.
I could dream in the 50’s in January. This time of year 32F no wind. Way better than 0F. and windy. Altogether I put 6 hours out there today. Mind you I would prefer our friends weather down south, Gary. Crow
Took the springers out today for a spin and to give those damn cans some What For. The HW30, HW50, HW95 and TX200 had a great time today. Actually snowed in Michigan, I was shocked the weatherman was right for once. Great times.

Awesome setup. You get similar weather to me.
I’m thinking on shooting down to Michigan. Just found out Vortek is near Ann Arbour. Used to go to Troy BirmIngram area 5-6 times a year before Covid-19. Nice area. Crow

Today was a marathon. Altogether I cronied 12 rifles and 1 pistol.
‘Second round
EA74B5DE-8EC0-4D6B-9F57-1021876C4557.jpeg

HW50 .177, Pro Sport .177, TX200 .177 and HW77 Edition .177. After crony time I put 30-40 rounds through each. All guns were lethal. This is the 50 at 30 yds. 10 shots. #3 and #7 went clean through

This was the last round.
BB1A7B08-46C2-40B5-9CCF-F79C22140178.jpeg

HW30 .177, HW97k .22, HW95 .177 and a Diana 460 .177.
The Diana didn’t hold up. When jacking it felt like sand was used in the greese. It needs something. Not completed
The Weihrauch’s were all reliable. I also cronied a HW70 pistol as well. Awesome day.

Again today temps. hovering around freezing. Cronied 7 rifles this morning.

HW80 .22, HW97KT .25, HW98 .177 and HW30black .177. The 30 would not cock. Just keep springing back. To the bench. The 97 .25 destroyed the cans. Such an awesome gun. And the 98, every home should have one. Easily hitting my 2 inch snow targets 50-60 yds.

To get this gun in .20 would be a dream come true. Been on order almost two years.
After I packed those away scooped 4 more.

HW97 .20, HW80 .25, Walther LGU Varmite .22 and a FWB 124 Sport .177. What a lineup. The 97 was so tight. as well the 80 which got a Vortek last week. Wow, I’m really impressed. 10 shots, 6 fps spread. Back at it. Crow

I always thought the HW98 would be a sweet platform in .177 or .20 doing 13-15 fpe. If I could only have one springer that's what I would get.

Fortunately, I'm not limited to one so the HW50 and HW97 in .177 compete for my time on the bench. They don't compete in the field, though, the HW97 is pretty heavy for carrying around. I'm trying lay my hands on a HW30/R7 to round out the arsenal...

But of course there is also the HW98...hmmm....

Shot my new Weihrauch HW35E .177 today. Purchased from Krale. Sighted in the Hawke 3-9x scope and it shot beautifully. Great classic airgun.
Excellent rifle. Crow

The three 5-shot groups were from several days ago at 20 meters with the HW50. Very impressed with this gun…
I really like my 98’s. They’re so accurate, comfortable and I’m hooked on that barrel. Plus easy to jack. Nothing negative. I’m thinking you need both the 30 and 98, you won’t regret it. Nice shooting. Crow,,

I skipped on the 30 and got a 35e, just wanted a walnut stock. My 98 in .22 is a dream come true, but I do like that 35e with diopter sights. Shooting at my spinners, I I can cock, load, aim, shoot and repeat much faster than with the 98, plus it's more fun to shoot offhand with iron sights than with a scope. Maybe if I could get a 1x scope that would stand up to a springer.

Crowski, how do you like that Diana K98?
I like it . Odd rifle but I enjoy shooting it. I use it on tree rats 25 yds. and closer. It hits very similar to the HW80 .22 710-720 fps. JSB 15.89 . Only .22 cal springer that’s I have that hit harder is the 54 pro lam. I like the accuracy. I was considering .177. Not going to happen. They can be picked up on sale. Crow

I will pick up a few diopters. I wanna put them on a HW30, HW85 and a HW77 and possibly the Mauser.
I find my 98 hands down easiest for me to load of all my full sized ones. Short stubby barrel. Crow
