Did errands today. Also have a earache. But it started to feel better. So I decided to shoot. Something old easy and fun. A little youth springer from the past. A Hy-Score 808

I shot a scoped 30 so I thought that I should try a 30 with irons and in .22 cal so here you go!

I know this is for traditional rifles but I did shoot a couple PCPS in this little airgun adventure so I figured I would include them to carry the ride a little longer. I want you to get your moneys worth!

Hardly any wind, time to check my zero at 40 yards shooting off the sticks. I had nine 1/4" dots on a sheet of paper, 2 shots per dot. I connected with 3..lol. The rest were within a 1/2" from the dot.
Zero is still good, no adjustments.

no pictures but shot a Daisy 853 @ 30 yards . did not hit a center bull and have no idea where the pellets landed . Then i got out a HW77 long in .22 , @30 yards = dead center every bull . Love this gun ! I bought it @ Midwest show last year , guy said it was tuned @ 10.6

Early start, 38 F. Started with TX200 .22. Right from first shot accurate.

I decided to throw a scope on the new to me 35E. I didn't want to put something modern so I took my old Leupold 10x with 50' adapter ring off of my Winchester 52.
Just shot the couple groups because I wanted to see if it shot any better than with the peep sights. Not much better but at least I could see...
Groups are at fifty feet.

Weather was a very pleasant 60* very low humidity and wind day here in north Florida, just the kin
d of day to break out a Theoben SLR. I checked the pressure in the ram and cronyed two different pellets...Crosman 14.3 domes 711fps and JSB 18.13s 640fps both just over 16fpe. Tweaked the trigger adjustment and just enjoyed the fine day with this classic. I didn't print any spectacular groups but wasn't really trying...just a fun check up on the nicest days once or twice a year...This is a Beeman branded carbine .22, note 30mm rings...not real common on these Theobens. As usual, shot from my rocking chair off my knee.

I haven't scoped my 50 in
22 yet.Its deadly with the irons and I can only imagine with glass how well it will shoot.
