N/A What should I sell my FX Maverick Sniper .22 at?

Hate to say it but in this market it will be tough to get $1,150 shipped. I couldn't sell my 600mm Bronze Impact M3 for $1,500 shipped a couple months ago. I think I might have been able to $1,300 shipped, so I just put it back in the safe. Shipping to residential with full insurance alone is like $170, so ending up with $1,130 was not worth it to me. Good luck with your sale.
I wish I bought it at that price. I have the same gun and I'm in 3k deep.... Its a good thing I don't ever sell anything.

It should be. It's a slept on gun. My buddy has one and I have an impact.. Both in 22. The maverick does what the impact can do for power and precision but nobody seems to notice it.
Suspect labelled, "the poor man's Impact," placed a negative connotation with Maverick ownership, thus lackluster interest. Who wants to hear, "Really like your Maverick, too bad you couldn't afford an Impact." WM

I remember when the maverick came out. There were a thousand topics asking the question. Do I buy a maverick or just get an Impact. I will and never would try to convince anyone that the Impact is a better gun. But I think the amount of guys that sold their Impact to buy a Maverick is low.

The Maverick also has the big power slugger aura surrounding it. So just like used Impacts, buyers beware. Gotta price them right because the used buyer is taking a giant risk. No video because of editing capabilities is convincing me of sh!t when it comes to a used gun.

When I see a gun with a slug power kit, superior heavy liner (often installed by an unknowledgeable owner or custom internal parts-NO DEAL. My M3 Impact is bone stock, and staying that way. Never shot anything but 33.95 pellets under 900fps. A gun that is modded I would only buy from someone like the poster above (Vetmx) who I know is knowledgeable. A modded gun from an unknown or recent member means two things to me. First, the gun has been compromised for lack of a better term, and two it has likely been overstressed by trying to use it above normal power level. Unless I can get it for a parts price, I pass.

It would seem to me from looks and function that the Leopard is the replacement for the Maverick - mostly......

Just following the 70% rule on a used airgun brings a $1,800 rifle to $1,260. This is a tough market for used sales and the 50-60% rule will be better applied just to get a sale. I think the person pricing the Maverick at $1,000-$1,100 is pretty spot on.

Anyone thinking, in the current market, that a Maverick is worth $1,500 used - HA! - I buy a Leopard Standard Tube for literally $50 more.

Yep, mav is a $1000 gun now. I like a maverick compact. This one is new to me, at the $1k price point also. Compact is the only way to go, anything bigger, just get an impact. .177 KOs are lazers in this one, exactly what it was acquired. When i see one that says it has a slug kit and other things, that makes me think that it had been internally molested, possibly by someone that should not be in there. For used, I always like to hear that the owner only ever shot pellets and left it where it was set.

All Mavericks shoot great with diabolo cups, they are accurate but only at distances up to 100 meters maximum. If you want to shoot beyond 100 meters, you switch to slugs, from there of course you have to add a heavy liner, slug kit, heavy striker, and so on. With my Maverick I have shot no more than 30 cups in 22 and 25 caliber, just like that. With slugs, however, the number is over 10,000 shots in two years, in 22, 25 and 30 calibers!!! I have taught him to shoot great in power 75-175 joules. I don't have a carbon sleeve, I don't think I need one. I wouldn't trade it for anything, I have a kit for all three calibers, I have spare parts and consumables. It's mine as long as I live ;) not because I can't sell it, but because I don't want to!!!

Good advise. Im going to be selling an FX impact 30 cal and was wondering how to price it.
Which gen impact do you have and what accessorries? A pic will help as well. I can give you a high and low from what I have seen recently. I have a maverick and 2 impacts myself currently.

Thanks for your response. It is an FX Impact 30 cal. Purchased May of 2019. I got it from a friend. It had never been out of the case. I shot about 400 rounds so far. It holds air with no leaks. Great gun but I think I would rather have a 22 cal. . New it was $1950. not any extras. Have 3 tins of Diablo pellets. Im keeping the scope for my next one. I ordered the newest FX sniper in 22 cal. copper from Utah

The market is soft for used guns. They are still selling but for huge discounts. I just sold my Panthera Compact 30. It had been on the shelf as a consignment for several months. It took 40% off retail and throwing in a 480cc bottle for it.
I probably should have just kept it a that price but had no use for it since I converted one of my M3’s to a 600mm 30.
As for the Maverick platform, they are a great and mostly overlooked gun. I have owned 2 and still have one of them with three different barrel kits.
Probably the last air gun I would sell. Just super solid and every bit as accurate as either of my M3’s. It won’t quite keep up with my Panthera 600mm 25 but it ain’t far off. It is the gun I have owned the longest. Think almost 4 years now and it has many thousands of 22 and 25 cal pellets shot through it and close to a couple thousand 22 slugs shot through it.
Unfortunately, the lemmings have moved onto the next latest and greatest and FX has moved on to the Leopard which is in my mind an updated Maverick. I may wait a year and let the bugs and inks get worked out of it and have a look at it.
