What should i look for in a budget scope?

Hello Everyone, Not really in the states myself, but i am getting a scope for my air rifle.. my budget is 50 to 100$ and the options here are limited, mostly chinese but they look ok. The discovery ones are over 200$ but i can't afford that right now. i got a quick look at the ones available in my budget and they are not plenty. the 100$ one looks like a 4-16x52. It's worth mentioning all of them are FFP. If you have any idea or suggestion to anything you think is useful please go ahead!

My opinion
Spina or CVLife
FFP
AliExpress
Spina 5.5-22x56 FFP
$109

The Illuminated Reticle is about $10 more

👆that one. They also have other scopes that are very affordable. What country are you in?

Don't know which range you want to shoot but i only use hawke scopes since a few years, they never disappointed me.

Between 100- 200 bucks, hold their zero, clean picture, no fogged glass when you change from warm/cold environment, clean mil-dot, stable coating.

My favorite is the Vantage 3-9x40 AO IR Mil Dot.

Thinking about buying the fourth vantage next days...

A more expensive and better one.
Because his stated budget would cover that, right?

Also, plinking and pests under 50 yards requires, at minimum, a $200+ scope. Because you will obviously not be able to hit what you aim at if you use a $40 CVLife 3-9x40 AOE instead of that Discovery or Hawke FFP.

There is a Leupold knockoff 6-24x60 that are pretty good. Not FFP but Side Focus and Illuminated Reticle, $65.

Do you have a recommendation for budget closer range PCP pesting by any chance(5-15/20yds)? I was going to get the optima 3-9x40AO, but I just saw that its minimum focal range is 10m. Was looking at hawke 2-7 but its triple the price of the optima.

For a range that short an Hawke Airmax 4x32 AO should work fine. More magnification is often nice but not at short range where the field of view can be too small. At least on Amazon the 4x32 is right at $100. I have used other inexpensive scopes (but never a CVLife) but I've had issues with them. My Hawke Vantage 2-7 on my Prod has been trouble free. And the warranty is lifetime.
