What scope to buy?

I currently have a athlon argos btr gen 2 on my taipan but i’m planning on selling the taipan with the scope. So for my next airgun I wanted a scope for around 400-500 and was planning on the helix but after reading about it i’m not sure. I’d like to order everything from utah airguns so if anyone else has an idea as to a scope that would work better than the helix for around that price range please let me know. Thanks!
 
The Helix has a REALLY crappy eyebox beware a lot worse than the SWFA SS 3-15x42 eyebox. You better off keeping that Athlon Argos and live with the blurriness at high power. If your Athlon Argos is a Gen1 and AHEM breaks you get the new improved Gen2 with zero stop and slightly better glass.

Oh you have the Gen2 Argos already so you really gonna be disappointed if you go for the Helix. If you got bad eyesight then disregard wouldnt matter much to you.

Think he's talking about the Athlon Helos which, IMO is a very good scope.

If you can still find the 6-24x56 FFP Hawke 17420 for $349-$399 clearance that's the one I bought couple months ago I give it an A (actually B+ for this price and A if it was $299 and if it was $249 it would have been an A+) and more in line for what you get what you pay for with this brand IMHO.

Eabco $359 and $10 off sign up with them but this is the 4-16x50 version FFP. Cameraland sells it for $399.

If you can still find the 6-24x56 FFP Hawke 17420 for $349-$399 clearance that's the one I bought couple months ago I give it an A (actually B+ for this price and A if it was $299 and if it was $249 it would have been an A+) and more in line for what you get what you pay for with this brand IMHO.

You can still find some Gen 1 Hawkes on SWFA and Optics Planet. I prefer that reticle over the new one. Personally, I don’t care for FFP scopes.

No but with a waiting list of 8 weeks as they are backlogged, the reviews are A+ on this for the price its ticking all the boxes... Would love it if you could do a review when yours arrive...
