What scope is on "your" HW50s ???

I leave this on 8x, sometimes dial it down. (8x is what I wanted for this gun, anyhow) 10x zoom is too much for this lense config, and strains your eyes. I've tried adjusting the front objective, and the rear eye relief. Otherwise a fantastic scope

I just checked on that scope and from all I can tell the parallax is set at 100 yards. Can you tell me how well it works for you since I'm guessing you aren't doing all your plinking at 100 yards :)

I have a lense wrench and did adjust the front objective slightly. I'm not sure what parallax is set at after adjustment, but it hits where I have it zerod regardless of zoom setting because I shoot at a set distance. (unless hunting)

It's a 30mm tube

Thanks for the compliment, it's the nicest one I've seen. I had to scoop it up off the classifieds, lol. Had to. I used to have a larger scope on it, but it didnt balance the gun out very well. Too front heavy.

Oh, the moderator is this one benjamin prowler LDC reinforced | eBay I asked him not to bond the end cap so I could modify it. I had a delrin bushing turned so that the end of the barrel would be supported inside the moderator. The mod is covering a good 5" of my barrel. The gun is fairly quiet as is, so all I used was about 2" of the moderator for noise dampening. It makes a nice cocking handle

Hey, if what you want doesn't exist, find a way for it to 🙂

The stock is completely factory! I've never seen grain like that on beech, but that's what it is 😎

I originally contemplated chopping the barrel, and having it threaded, but is an entire ordeal that involves re-choking the barrel, and turning it very carefully on a lathe for threads. Neither of which I have the means for personally. And cutting the barrel would also negate the tune that Motorhead had put on it prior to my ownership.

Eventually I came up with the idea to use the slip on mod and reinforce it to be useable in the way I wanted. At the length I wanted while also keeping the factory barrel length/choke

Well, I felt lucky to get it because I had just started to look for one when this one popped up. The mainspring and piston is serviceable easily without a spring compressor. Power is exactly at the level I need, quiet, soft shooting, crisp, accurate. The list goes on.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

As for attachment, it's a very snug fit. I think the gun it was meant for has a slightly smaller barrel OD. So this one I installed with a rubber mallet. It was intended for a grub screw, but I left it out. I dont like using them, and if I do, I get a brass set screw or one with a nylon insert. I've damaged barrels before. Not that I can tell or say for sure with any set screws. But the amount of force needed to create a low spot in a barrel from the outside is not as much as you'd think.

You mind giving us a few specs? Like caliber? FPS with what pellet? And which pellet yours seem to like best?

Thanks

Ray

It's a .22 caliber. I've tried RWS 12gr hobby, 14.3gr CHP, 16gr hades, 16gr AA, and 18.13 jsbs. It shoots the 16gr Air Arms diablos extremely well. The gun shoots them right around 590 fps.

Inside of 40 yards, it's perfect. I've got a couple guns that will reach out further, but almost all of my airgun shooting is under 40 yards, so a lot of my guns are dialed in right around 550-650fps

Had the barrel cut back and threaded on my 50 installed a Donnyfl Hawke 4-16compact raised leather cheek rest and a utg barrel droop compensator you will love the HW50 I do

Hey Zeke

What's the weight of your rig all decked out like in the picture above?

I like the sling setup. Do you have any problems with the barrel band attachment point moving on you?

Thanks
