What Scope for Mutant Shorty?

It's only 23" in length. Would like to put a scope that's short because of the rifles short length. Want it to be at least 4X12. Cost somewhere between $200-$400. Prefer mil dot reticle.

Looked at a lot on Optics planet. Like the Burris's no question transferable warranty lifetime. There are so many choices it really gets confusing. If you have used a short length scope that worked well for you I would like to hear about it. Thanks!

For a hand held shooting the bugbusters are lightweight. The glass was good enough for precision 45 yd English sparrows. This from a guy that using a 15x does a double take to make sure a 150 yd woodchuck is not a cat. The Discovery compact FFP with a 30 mm tube is almost the same length though a lot heavier.

I like the MTC Viper Connect 32mm for all of my bullpups - especially the short ones. I love the low eye relief and even set it up so my eyebrow contacts the brim of the eyepiece and gives me another point of contact with the gun/scope. With short bullpups this helps me tremendously with offhand shooting. It may be psychological at this point, but it works for me. Comes in two reticles - I prefer the advanced mil dot (AMD), but lots of shooters prefer the small ballistic caliber (SBC). I've had both the 32mm and 24mm - the 32 is significantly brighter IMO. You can't beat the wide field ov view. Maxes out at 12x, but works for me. IIRC they are ~10 or 11 inches long.

Thanks All! I ordered the Discovery VT-3. Bad news I'll have to wait a week to get it as everywhere I could find they were sold out. Now I wait! The deciding factor for me was value and length. 10".. And with an online discount coupon it was $202 with free shipping. And the shop owner is a member of the forum so that counts also. I also just received an email from Airguns Optics plus and Charlie offered to include free mounts which will be shipped with the scope.

This scope comes with free rings from the manufacturer. You pick high/low dovetail/picatinny. If someone tries to tell you they include them as a favor they're blowing smoke up yer ***.

I got my last VT-3 for $179 shipped from the link above and they always include rings... even if you don't specify which they include a pair.
