What scope are you using on your compact gun?

I'll add another 2-12x42 Helos BTR Gen2. Absolutely love mine on my Shorty.

I'm on my 3rd scope on my Leshiy.

When I first got the Leshiy I pulled a spare scope from my powder burner collection. I've had this scope for MANY years.

Scope 1: Burris Signature Series 3x9-50 Mil-Dot setting in a ADM QA mount. It worked ok but without an adjustable objective it struggled a close range. It held me over until I purchased scope 2.

Scope 2: Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x40 AO Dead Hold BDC MOA also setting in an ADM QA mount. I really like this scope and it does great. Glass is awesome, reticle is perfect and the adjustable objective works perfect with one exception. It's not side adjust... I can't use my flip up caps on the objective either as it interferes with adjustment. Otherwise no complaints.

Scope 3: Burris Fullfield IV 4-16x50 Side Adjust Parallax with Target Turrets, Long range MOA and illuminated crosshair. Superb glass, side adjust much easier. Mounted in a set of my Leupold Mark 4 Steel High mount rings... Too Heavy with those rings. Purchased a Leupold Mark AR one piece mount. Still feels heavy but more adjustable. So far.. dead reliable. I think scope 3 will stay on it.

These are obviously not compact scopes but they do very good.

Also I have like 4 scopes I'm not using and thinking going big and getting one if the NF NX8

.. thinking

This is what I recommend too. Sell the four unused scopes and buy the NX8 4-32×50. I have one and love it. Though I don't film, you will have a huge range of zoom and clarity for filming for those close-up head shots on iguanas. The reticle is not cluttered and makes holdover a breeze, and the turrets are made for dialing into range if that is how you shoot most often.

I also have the Athlon Helos 2-12×42, and it is a great hunting scope. But based on seeing many of your videos, I think that you will be lacking in the close-up zoom that you do a lot of when filming.

Only 7" long and just 3 or 4 ounces, this 1960s or 70s vintage, Japanese 4X18 rail-mount Tasco is not only a silver-slipper fit for the PP750, but has as clear optics as I've seen on any scope at any price. Though I've been into Japanese-made vintage scopes for decades, I've never seen another scope like this one; not to be confused with the cheap-ass POSs marketed back then for kids' .22s.

Before finding the silver-slipper above, I used a Burris 6X Mini riflescope with adjustable objective. Those are great American made scopes, and seldom encountered.

This regulated PCP custom Crosman 2240 is powerful and accurate enough to justify a 3-12X Leapers Compact scope with multiple aim-points reticle.

A 2.5X RWS Compact rifle scope went well on this .177 Sharp U-FP Co2 pistol rig.

A little Browning-branded, 4X rifle scope made by Redfield in the Sixties or Seventies is possibly the finest 3/4" tube scope ever produced. Usually seen on the Browning ATD "Ladies Rifle" .22 automatic, it goes well on my .22 Crosman 112 custom Co2 pistol. Those scopes are (still) often encountered at gun shows, almost always with price tags of $250 for clean examples. When a gun show exhibitor quoted me $80 for this one, I didn't bother negotiating; couldn't get the money out of my wallet fast enough!

Dedal Stalker is the only compact scope I shoot through. It's providing clear footage for scope cam. I use EagleVision and Gopro. Clear.

Fixed power is fine for me. Especially since I get the clear view.

So if this scope works with EagleVision then there is some eye relief right? I love the immersive optics I have but with zero eye relief I cannot use the Eagle Visio.

Just noticed the Athlon Talos 3-12×40 Mil, SFP. 16 oz, 12" long, side focus. Currently $137 on Amazon. I like the weight, etc., but I also know that we generally get what we pay for. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thinking about this for an AGT Vixen Shortie.

Decided to post this on the main optic page...

i use different scopes for different things because i only "intend" to own one air rifle. lol

i already had a Sightmark Wraith HD 4-32x50 and a (pre-virus) Holoson He510c-Gr that spend some time on powder burners.

i got a Swampfox 1-10x on it as the primary right now, with a high mount for both eyes open shooting at 1x. it is pretty fun this way on a handgun caliber steel gallery. although not as fast as the reflex sight, i am not trying to break any records or shooting for my life. the only downside is the fixed parallax if you need to shoot up close above 4x.

this was before i cut the hand guard down, and before i got the high mount for the lpvo. although i needed the quieter moderator, i wanted to get back to the compact length.
