What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Today’s paper. Pretty similar to yesterday. Have a good evening everyone

I’ve been tinkering with my .22 Taipan standard Veteran 1, swapping barrels, installing a plenum and having a lot of fun In the process. It was a laser with the stock barrel shooting 18 and 20 grain pellets. It even did well with 22 grainers too. Then I found a couple used barrels, a 550mm and a 700mm, which I installed so I could get a feel for what they could do. The 550 was stacking 22 grain AEA and JTS’s at 50Y but shot the heavier 25 and 28 grain MRD pellets poorly. Then I added a 2” plenum to the 700 barrel. Here are some numbers and the quick target I shot today with the 700 @ 50Y just to get some crono numbers. I think this combo has some potential to shoot heavier lead.

I love testing ...but my wallet hates how many pellets i shot during these test
Like how the grands are grouping. I usually shoot the 22.07's , but i still have a few tins of grands left to experiment with.
How are they grouping at 100?
I Still need to find a rifle that shoots Beasts really well..tried them at absurd speeds that did kinda well...but haven't repeated the drill
Will be shooting later today ...may bring some grands with me

Finally made it out to the desert and got to shoot out to 100. Used JSB’s and JTS's since my pellet order didn’t arrive in time.

Shot the 33.95 at 50 yards to see how it grouped. Not too bad to be honest, though it wasn't great at 100.

Then I shot JTS Dead Center’s, 25.39 at 100. I used the 75 yard EBR target.

Shot the 15 yard target at 20 yards, so a 1/4” smaller circle at 20. A few things I took away:

1. It’s expensive to shoot comparatively. 120 pellets with a .25 cal adds up.

2. Shooting it all in one go is taxing. I found myself being lazy with some of my shots. I double loaded once and sent it. It shot the bull with both pellets on the target directly below where I was aiming (circled in pink).

3. Having to air up during the course of fire was interesting. Also the round count possibly resulting in minor points of impact changes was something I’m now conscious about.
