What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

In honor of ThomasT I will post on this this thread he started today. I shot a 193 11X 30 yard challenge target late today when the wind calmed down to 6 mph. I was shooting my P35 - 22 using H&H Baracudas and a 40X Athlon Argos target scope. I plan to switch back to Baracuda Match now to see if scores are any better. I shot a 198 and a 197 earlier this week with the same Baracuda pellets so they are pretty good.

I went out yesterday, was thinking of Thomas, and wanted to really shoot something he would give his " " approval.
I took out my HM1000x to 50yards at the range(indoors) and shoot these cards.
Hope you see them

Nice shooting Mike. I reviewed your cards and your scores are too low. I know, bummer, right?
Card 1: Dropped a point ONLY on #16 = 249
Card 2: Dropped a point on #4 & #8 = 248
Card 3: Dropped a point on #11, #14 and #19 = 247

Any clean hole, inside the heavy black ring, will plug a 10 using a .350” OD plug.

Mike! Thomas would definitely be proud of that card shot n his honor! A most excellent session for sure!

I have no photo to show, and my offhand standing shots were nothing to brag about. 33' distance, Blue Streak rifle with peep sight, lots of wind. I knew it would not be a great day but thought of how long since I had shot a bullseye target with this rifle. I mean, I can't remember when! Been happily smacking cans offhand instead, and one squirrel also.

But it WAS a good return to paper practice nonetheless. I, too, am surprised at how much I am thinking of ThomasT. It's nice to see how many others also appreciate what he did. 🫶🏼

The mental game is everything for me. I shot a dozen targets or so tonight. These 6 are the best of the lot. The other ones were way worse. They are 5 shots @ 10 Meters off hand with my 300 S. My mind was racing tonight and I just couldn’t get in the zone. Have a nice evening everyone. View attachment 566093

Great shooting Steve. There appears to be a flier in each group. Just wondering if that is happening with any consistency, perhaps your first or last shot or if it’s just random?
Thanks but not great I don’t think. I did not feel in control at all tonight. The flyers are random. The only good thing was I knew where the shot went as soon as it was off. It was all mental tonight I felt. Im not a great shot or competitive but I expect to be able to keep my shots in the 3/4” circle having been doing so lately. Maybe I need one of those jackets, and a glove and shoes 😂

Steve, are your rifles springers? Do you have any PCPs?
No PCPs. Both are springers. The 300S is a 10 meter rifle that is recoiless due to the sledge system it uses. The RWS aka the Diana model 45 was an early attempt at a magnum rifle. It has a rather violent recoil so it requires the right hold to shoot accurately.
