Well it was last evening.
Retiring the Two due to low light i broke out the Maverick, and decided to put the Carm Magazine to use.
The wind had died down some, so 55 M was fairly doable, potentially better if you had not decided to just burn through just about a tin of JSB heavy pellets.
The Oneleaf NV500 scope did not really let me wee where i hit in the black of the paper, but misses in the white i was still able to see ( scope in daytime mode )
Taking the 55 M walk after shooting a little i was OK with the result up close, i have to admit there is fun to be had shooting pellets.
Before the papers i trimmed dry branches i had thrown up against the 30 M target stand, trimming 10 - 20 mm of in every shot.
The last 60 - 80 or so pellets i used trying to hit chalks at 118 M,,,,, a 10 X 40 mm target that far away and .177 pellets, well i think a few shots was quite close but no hit.'
16 Gr Zan and H&N slugs in the Two,,,,, well again this outing i did 2 in a row back there, for me that is a arms in the air moment.
Cleaned out the rack ( about 12 or so chalks ) several times. even hit a couple of leftovers which are pretty much 10 X 10 mm in size, that also feel good.
BTW we have 2 new " needle" targets, furthest back at 100 M is a 8 mm hole, and it is hexed CUZ we have great problems hitting it, all around it, no problem at all, but threading the needle is hard for us.
Of course the wind lately do not make things more easy, shoot where you should not be shooting 100 US or Euro units and you can see your POI of your slug drift 50 - 100 mm easy.
6 mm hole " needle" targets at 50 and 75 M seem easier to hit for some reason.
