What Optics?

Hello ello allo All.



I am about to hit the buy button on a new .22 Wildcat and it dawned on me i need something to see through as i am going to retain my working Rapid 7 setup. 



I was looking at the Compact AirMax but have read some pretty mixed stuff on them. I am going to use the new Wildcat for various tasks, target and vermin work, ive always been into Lamping but now also thinking NV is an option. 

What optics are people using and can recommend?

I don't have the compact but do have a couple of Airmax scopes. One is not doing so well and I had to repair it. The other is doing fine.

give us a little more info of what you're looking for, like your minimum requirements, your "deal breaker list"....

Otherwise we're just telling you which scope WE like.... -- and not really helping YOU.



Price range?

Bottom end magnification -- at least....?

Top end magnification -- at least....?

FFP or SFP, or doesn't matter?

Side parallax, AO, or doesn't matter?

Exposed turrets, or capped, or exposed and locking, or doesn't matter?

Holdoff reticle, what kind, or doesn't matter?

IR?

Is low weight very important?

Is short size very important?

Minimum parallax distance, do you need 10y, or is 20/25y fine?

Are you locked into any other features -- like: No IR dial on the ocular lens so you can attach camera/ NV to it? A must-have tube size? At least 80 moa elevation adjustment range on the turret?

Yes, but the 25 yard min on parallax adjustment is not a good thing for airgunners.

Arken model SH4 has 10 yrd min parallax.
