What moderator should I get for my AA S500?

Hey guys, I’ve been looking around for a moderator for my pcp, but all I’ve seen is the AA QTec, which I can’t seem to find anywhere for sale new. So what would you guys choices be for a moderator under 150? Also, I believe that the fitting for it has to be 1/2 UNF male(which is why I can’t seem to find anything). Also I read somewhere that you have to buy a caliber up to reduce chances of pellet clipping? Is that true?

If you'd want cheap then TKO lightweight plastic good enough. Mike at TKO good fella. Tell him exactly what your gun is and what caliber. If you want to spend $150 id recommend the Huggett from AoA for $150. Light and works haven't had accuracy issues with ANY of my TKOs and Huggetts and HW LDCs. I can't in good faith and conscience recommend another super popular brand due to the risk of potentially having accuracy issues which others have confirmed as well. Yo!

I have a Hogan silencer, make in England and carried by Krale, and it works very well. The Weihrauch silencer on my HW100 works fine too, but probably not as quiet as either the Hogan or the two Donny products I have. I've never had an accuracy or fitment issue with any of these. If you need a silencer with a male fitting, I suggest you get a male-to-male adapter from Donny, and then any of the the more typical female silencers will work. The Huggett products have a good reputation, but one testing review I read showed the Hogan outperforming it and all others tested.

I put a DonnyFL Sumo on mine and it works real well, he also sells the adapter.

I looked on Donny’s website and saw the adapter. I was thinking about getting a Tanto or KOI. Will they work as well as the sumo?

Donny recommended a Tanto for my .177 S500.

They should work just fine. When I ordered mine Donny recommended going p one caliber so I got a .25 for my .22.

I have a DonnyFL TANTO on my Brocock Compatto in .177. I did sound measurements and the noise reduction was around 30% maybe more. On the low power setting the impact of the pellet on the target at 12 ft./lbs is louder than the Sound of the gun by 25 decibels, yes I am a data geek.

Awesome, sounds like I’ll get the TANTO. Is there anywhere I could buy an air arms moderator adapter for less?

I have a Donny FL Sumo .25 on my AA S510 and S410 rifles. About all one hears is is the hammer striking the valve. The sound of the pellet striking the target down range is much louder than the report of the rifle.
