What kinda birds are these

Hello @iAMzehTOASTY1

Guess I am old fashion and hate to kill little harmless creatures, just me.

Oh... well, I eat them🤷‍♂️😅
A pellet/round for a bird/animal is much cheaper than the grocery store🥴
I always buy the proper licensing (proceeds to national wildlife foundation)and use the proper equipment(teach others and guide them when needed).
Usually a little healthier for ya too. My Mrs had never tried a wild animal as food before; now she gets excited when I bring home dinner from nature's cabinet🤙

Doves are fillet mignon on wings, possibly the best eating birds. Only downside is they are small and takes quite a few to make a meal. However, the invasive European collar doves are much bigger so I hope find a batch of those one day.

Until you have a mockingbird, or even better, a brown thrasher. They make so many calls its crazy. The thrashers are very entertaining. I have 2 mated pairs living in my honeysuckle/English ivy on my fence row, and they just sing all day. They even have calls for birds from other continents that they can't possibly have had contact with in the modern age.
Never even seen a brown thrasher till I started eliminating grackles and starlings in my yard. After 2 years of doing that, the first couple showed up. Hoping I can get more, I like them alot.

Love the TRASHERS .. living next door to 0ver 100 acres of brush & lowland chaparral these birds are clearly about doing there namesake digging and disrupting the chaff at ground level. Starting a week or so ago up in the higher bare brush limbs singing for a mate. At times if just listening a bit hard to distingush Thrasher from the Mocking birds. * Western / California Thrasher
