What is your choice between a Daystate Huntsman MK2 or a Air Arms S510 .

Both good guns.

My vote is for the AA S510 though:

1) Side cocking lever is much more preferred by me;
2) You can get longer range accuracy using the AA magazines as compared to the Daystate mags (in my experience);
3) AA replacement or extra mags are cheaper than the Daystate mags.

My biggest cons for the S510 are not deal-breakers to me, but are:

1) Need to purchase male-male adapter for a moderator;
2) Don't much like using the AA fill adapter (but you can get a male foster retrofit kit from Bestfittings UK).

Both guns can be very (equally) accurate

@TMH How do the mags affect accuracy?

I think that it might have to do with their spring tension, or the variability of spring tension over the range of motion of the magazine's center wheel.

I personally have had Daystate magazines which repeatedly allowed one-hole groups with the first 5 shots, but couldn't group the second 5. This is from brand new.

Once again, personally I won't shoot out of a Daystate magazine when going for precision, at any distance 50 yards and out. Darko has made some money from me on SSL's for Daystates.

The AA magazine system on the S510, however, utilizes a mechanical rotation of the magazine without relying on spring tension. Whether for this reason or something else, I have been able to shoot S510's well out to 100 yards using their magazines.

Disclaimer, I own a 510, so I am somewhat biased. If you look at collective community knowledge and parts availability, I think the Air Arms has the edge. As far as reputation, quality, satisfaction, it is a toss up, both are good examples of excellent engineering and manufacturing. I would have a rougher time choosing between a FAC Daystate Mk 4 and an S510, wanting to try an electronic version of a pcp.

I'm new to PCPs, but one thing I have learned is that everyone should own at least one Daystate. Mine is an electronic gun (Air Wolf MCT) with an amazing trigger and will stack pellets (.22) However, I am sure I will be picking up a S510 in .22, sooner or later, just to have a companion .22 British legacy rifle.

Both great guns, the Huntsman is a sporter PCP, much more compact and lighter while the AA is a full sized rifle, better bench shooter.
AA makes a carbine version, right

I'm not familiar with the Huntsman Mk2, but I assume it is essentially the same as the rest of the Huntsman line. I have a Revere in .22, and I think it is an excellent rifle. I believe that any field rifle should function well with a magazine. I have found the accuracy with the mag to be excellent. I owned an AA S510, and it shot well also. I prefer the Daystate magazine, and the Revere is lighter, if that is a concern. I think you would be satisfied with either one, it's just a matter of preference.

I would love to have an Huntsman Revere,

Finest loooking airgun out there.
Hurry, AOA has them for $1099. It is the unregulated model but don't let that concern you. I get 5 13 round magazines between fills and it's accurate throughout. BTW, mine is a .177 cal.
