What is wrong with my Vulcan 2?

Hello agn friends.

I have Vulcan 2. 22 cal that is acting strange.

I zero my rifle at 35 yards with hades pellets and they are capable of producing almost one hole groups at that distance. And I can shoot spinners all day long with surgical accuracy. The next day I miss my spinners completly. Even the bigger ones. Zero is far off. Everything is tighteneded scop

e rail barrel I checked all that comes to my mind that does not include tearing rifle in pieces. Recently I replaced scope with onother one to rule that out.

It was holding zero ok for two days. Today i came to our weekend house and i checked my zero. Picture with shoot N C target. And it was bang one. Then I wen't to shoop and put rifle in rifle soft case.

About 1 hour later i bring my vulcan out again. I found a big apple under the tree and decided to test JSB hades performance on it on top of that target that I shoot before to check my zero.I missed an apple and I knew I should hit it dead center. I put out paper target and draw a dot on it to see where I am hiting.this is fast 10 shoot group at the same 35 yards.I was hiting way left but height is the same. This thing is driving me crazy. The rifle is stock an has never been tear down modyfied or any thing like that except adjusting hammer spring tension.

Barrel could be loose. Remove scope, remove pic rail. There are two sets of four set screws (8 total) holding the barrel. There are also four more under the breech cover, but I’d check first the ones under the pic rail. Best to just lightly loosen all of them and tighten them in a cross cross pattern. Let us know if that helps.
I’m assuming you’ve already checked the moderator and shroud for clipping and to make sure they were snug.

If the vulcan 2 has the internal baffles like the original vulcan, I once had one of the baffle o-rings break and it would periodically drop down into the pellet path and do a real number on my accuracy. It was sporadic, it would shoot fine one day and then be all over the place. Finally dissasembled and found the busted oring. So check the baffles if you dont find it somewhere else. Good luck!!

A) I would first doubt about the scope.

Try with another scope.

All scopes should be hitted gently with a rubber hammer to avoid loosing the zero.

B) Also check that the rings are dully thighten.

C) Different angle of vision of the scope will make you hit in diverse places.

Check that the possition of your face is always the same.

Check that always the stock rests in the same place of your shoulder .

D) Pellets will fly different with variation of the wind. This is worst with expansible pellets.
