What is this Yong Heng part?

Hello

Here is a picture of a part on my Yong Heng compressor

I think it is a filter of some sort.

Is anyone able to tell me

  • what it is exactly?
  • where I can get one?
  • what can be substituted for it if I cannot find one?

I have searched on Google, Ali, eBay, & Amazon to no avail.

Thanks

Ed

I don't get it. If your yong heng comes with one, why are you looking to get another one? It's an intake filter. It filter out dirt and junk from getting into the cylinder head. Unless your compressor didn't come with one, I don't see why you are looking for one. You just show in the photo it has one. I'm Iost.

If you can tell me where to get one I just might tell you why I need one.

Maybe!!

Oh!!

Almost forgot!!!

LOL

airgunfans & Eaglebeak,

Thank you both very much,

That never came up in my Ali searching.

I found a used YH at a really good price, but it did not have the filter

Now I'll have a backup

Ed

PS

Has anyone successfully modded a YH to have a moisture filter in the air intake side?

I dont know if it helps much as most of the moisture comes from compressing the air.

You are correct. Most of the moisture comes from the air being compress, and the output will always have moisture in it. Been using the hill pump m4 and even with it's intake filter, they claim will suck 99% of the moisture, I still getting a lot of water coming out of the line and into my gun. Opened my marauder air tube and it is fill with droplet of water. Also when bleeding water will come out too. So intake filter is worthless. Best it does it filter out dirt getting into you pump. People need to stop worrying and investing in intake and worry about the output which is the biggest problem when it comes to moisture.

Understood!

Under compression the air will contain lots of moisture, even if there is a dehumidifying pre-filter in the system

And further understood that the moisture needs to be released from the compressor after each fill session.

I do this by opening both compressor bleed valves before shutting the unit down

The compressed air in this system (as in most systems) is running through water/oil separator which is in line AFTER the compressor bleed valve

Does anyone know (with certainty) if there is any advantage to adding a bleed valve in line after the filter & before the tank or gun?

This would be opened before opening the compressor valves

Always curious
