This is on their website: The duty cycle of the machine is 30 minutes run / 20 minutes cool. This allows for filling of larger tanks (only suggest the max 1.5L) as long as the compressor is allowed to cool.

Question, when cooling down do you keep the pump on but not stroking so the fan stays on to cool it down or do you shut it off completely? I just got a used cs3 so was wondering.

Yes, I leave the power on but the pump motor off for 10 mins or so. If you have a desktop fan, it really helps to use an auxiliary source of.cooling wind.

any one thought of using a small cooler full of ice (swamp cooler) with 3 or 4 inch fans inlet and outlet tubes blowing on the air cooled compressor ?

That sounds like a great idea to help cool these little pumps, I have a CS2 that is retired from full time duty as I got a CS4 so next ttime I fire it up will give that a shot, I never let mine get over 109F thats what it hit filling my avenger to 4000 in 5 minutes.

yes , best way is with a Dryer hose the 3 inch diameter . you cut holes in the lid and one is inbound air and one is outbound hose goes to the bottom and curls back up to exit port then use to tube or pvc pipe to direct the cold air to the compressor , probably in addition of the water cooling.
air goes thru the tube no direct contact with the ice .
