Mine is 26, 977 to 951 at 2600 on my 257. the barrel is lapped, the noe 85 grain bullets are weighed to a tenth of a grain, sized and lubed. It is accurate but I need to bring that down. So what is yours and what did you do?
It sounds like you have ruled out the barrel and the projectile. I would assume it now falls to valve and hammer spring consistencies. Can the valve be improved? Polished seat? Are other springs available? Most springs themselves are typically very consistent. Have you noticed if the spread stays the same after a string or two? Is there much of a temperature change across the string?
@DHC, what type of reg are you using? Reports the smaller inline regs have problems keeping up with BB. I use the Joe B with great results as lots of other BB shooters.
I have the same ext reg. Mine were a 60 and 20 shot strings with a 100 psi adjustment in between and no difference in the spread. I sat down and shot for a while at 200 yards for the first time today and I'm impressed. It's a bit like shooting my 97 177 out to 50y.
