What is AGN, to you?

For me, AGN is a place of camaraderie: A place to enjoy meaningful discussions on the shared interest of airguns and their accompanying accessories. A place to share personal experiences and to learn from other's personal experiences. To share personal excitement for a new toy, and to share in the excitement others have for their new toys. To share excitement for new discoveries and understanding and knowledge, my own and that of others. If I have a productive or enjoyable shooting session, I come to AGN to share the details because I know that you guys are more interested than my wife. I come here to learn, and hopefully to help others learn.

The above synopsis of what AGN is to me relies on strong undertones of friendship, of trust, of a community where we know and can trust each other. In that type of online community, there is mutual benefit, across all members.

AGN is a little refuge for me, quiet time by myself but in virtual company with many of the really nice folks that post here. I've learned so much from people here and am appreciative. Yes, sometimes there might disagreements between some. Remember the world can be a lonely place and some of those supposed bad apples are just seeking attention in the wrong way. Luckily we're mostly all grown ups here and abide each other very well. As long as we recall that our interest/love/passion for Airguns is what keeps bringing us back to AGN, it's going to be good.

I see AGN as a community of individuals interested in various aspects of airgunning. I also view it as a repository for most, if not all, things related to airguns. We also joke with and rib one another. Sometimes we share funny posts but it’s a great place to speak to others about a hobby that many outsiders might not consider allowing themselves to have exposure to. Above all it’s a great place to exchange information on airguns.

It's pretty much the only place I have to go and talk about air guns and air gun hunting with people that have the same interest and excitement about it that I do. I honestly don't have anyone in my sphere of friends or acquaintances that care about or could give two rips about air guns. So, AGN is my place that I can share what I am doing, what I have learned with others, and most definitely continue to learn from all the fellas on here that have forgotten more than I know. The knowledge that I've gained here is priceless. I appreciate that AGN is here and I appreciate all the fellas that have helped me along the way. I hope that I can continue to learn as well as help others with what knowledge I have gained. Most of all....I just enjoy the sense of camaraderie thats felt here. We all are different and come from different places. But...we all share a common interest and that is cool.

I used to have a life but now I have the forum!

It used to be Green but now it AGN

I am a sick man?

Yes

I spend way to much time here but it keeps me out of trouble and I'm in good company.

I find it a very friendly and comfortable place to be.

Hard to say more.

Speaking of a knowledge base this on has a huge one, not just on airguns but, on just about any subject.

You guys all worded it much better than me.

While it's great to hear the thoughts, it was almost a rhetorical question posed to general membership to get us all thinking about what kind of environment we want AGN to be.

I appreciate all of the helpful, meaningful, and worthwhile comments made by members across the various discussion boards that constitute AGN.

Well a bit hard for me getting too comrade like from all the way over here in the old world, but always nice to be with like minded people.

The site is hard for me to navigate and i soon loose track of posts as all i pretty much use is the all topics entry, so i really wish the forum was better laid out, like the dashcam forum i am a regular on ( dashcamtalk.com ) where it is fast to zero in on the brand / models of interest, and on the front it have a ticker tape with resent posts if you are into a topic that see a lot of action ATM.

But it is what it is, also i think if i let my expertise in going off topic fly it might be frowned upon, so i am really working hard here as it is so innate to me doing that.

And then i am a bit sad the nice competitions are off limit for us EURO boys, even if it is pretty safe to say that in love and gambling i have always been right out of luck. Though if it is anything more than a .177 shooter up for grabs i will have to not enter as i can not own / import a win like that, but other related items that might come up i could have a go at.

Also as i often / always use a VPN, then i have already been curbed one time for logging on to the site as a American ( changed to that to see if a EU based store would ship pellets to the us ) So i am constantly afraid i might forget to switch to a Danish server or turn the VPN off.

And its not for fun i use the VPN it decapitate my 1 gbit connection to a 100 mbit connection, and responsiveness are hampered too, and i do love my ( snap fingers ) fast internet.

AGN is my coffee in the morning and night cap in the evening. I'm on here because of like minded folks into airguns because like most have said, no one else inside my circle are into airguns. I'm also here for the wealth of knowledge, advancement in airgun technology, and new offerings. I do like to help others as well if I have the experience to speak on the matter. I don't do social media such as Facebook or Instagram although I do have accounts. That frees up a lot of my time to spend on AGN. I actually created an Instagram account just for the purpose of airgun related content lol.

I too appreciate the friendly, knowledgeable folks here on AGN. Although there are many members, it seems that there is a nucleus of close-knit members that know each other and get along, sharing knowledge all the way. So much to learn and grow with the community.

It's also very well run by the Moderator staff that purvey over all of the mundane issues, yet at times volatile members, yet keeping it in line with the rules in a moderate way.

It's a very pleasant place to come and see what's going on in the air gun world and to say 'Hello' to folks or offer advice on any topic. I regularly visit multiple times a day when time allows.

Good place and thank you for the opportunity to voice this opinion.

Well, AGN is my break from reality being involved with 2 women, my mother and my wife plus I don't have to leave home to enjoy what I enjoy most. Being a caregiver leaves very little time for me to enjoy things like fishing and hanging out with like-minded people that are very few and in between. When it's too hot, too cold, too wet or too late to go outside and shoot, I'll come here to see what everyone's doing or wanting to do concerning airguns. It also helps me to stay in touch with people that I have more in common with and our passion with "adult precision airguns". Air Gun Nation is just a simply marvelous place to be 24/7 and knowing that we (that's people from all corners of the world) have more in common than we do in differences.

It’s definitely morning coffee and AGN, and I always check the long distance shooting and bench rest part of the forum first. It amazes me what these guns are capable of. And the helpful people are plentiful here, you can always find an answer for any problems. I’ve made a few really good friends here and hopefully there’ll be more. AGN is like sitting down to a good meal, I really look forward to logging on every morning.
