Expanding foam can work but can also be very messy.
We don't know how much room you have to work with, accessibility to the hollow parts.
The foam padding that many Airguns come boxed in might be easier.

I recently used Loctite Tite Foam and it worked really well, I added a little weight to balance the rifle than filled it with this. Just remove action , mask off stock really well, fill and let sit for 24 hrs. I was really happy with the sound dampening and overall feel improvements.

For what it's worth..."damper" would be the word in this use, not dampener.
1. Automotive sound deadener. This butyl rubber sheet is what I used in my Walther Reign. Made a big difference. Jegs, Summit.
2. Bond on some rubber sheet (1/8" thk.). Big box stores.
3. Bond on some closed cell foam (1/8" thk.). Big box stores.
4. Expanding foam as Miller said. Big box stores. Mask the "gun" mechanicals well before using.

Someone on another topic recently mentioned using duct seal and lead to add weight to the hollow stock of an air gun. Haven't tried it but the duct seal sounds logical.

I stuffed my Gamo with plastic grocery bags. For what it is worth an empty 40 lb. bird seed bag stuffed tightly with plastic grocery bags makes a very light weight and waterproof pellet stop.

Butyl rubber is going to work best and add quite moderate weight. Like the above poster mentioned, It is what they use to deaden trunks on the automobile sound sytem competitions. Duct seal is very similar to non drying clay which would also work if you are looking to add weight. You don't need to fill it to dampen it.

You could try looking at the products from LimbSaver. They make sound deadening product for shooting sports.

IVe got a Crosman Raven "youth" riufle with a synth stock....
stuffed it full of plastic grocery bags to thepoint of nothing else can fit and its very dense.....
it helps, but that stuffing that stock now makes me think that the quality of the stock is gonna really affect how well filling it with anything is gonna work. I also filled amany of the little "compartments" in the forend of the stock with stick on foam. Again, stuffing and filling helps, but IMO some stocks wont respond as well as others ....

Thinsulate is a good lightweight sound deadener, plus it has the bonus of not absorbing water. You could probably get enough from the sleeve of an old coat, they're typically cheap at thrift stores if you don't have one.
