What if you love the scope but not the reticle??

Does it focus down that far on the highest magnification? Just asking because a lot of scopes only focus at their claimed "close focus" when at the lowest magnification.

Yes. And the image is flat from edge to edge, not $2000 clarity but definitely punching above its weight. I had a chance to compare it to a element nexus and at x20 I honestly cant tell which is better.

Those Athlon Midas Tacs are great scopes. Can't go wrong with them!

Seems so....beautiful reticle, HD glass, great turrets.

The only other scope I have been looking at is the SWFA 16x42 fixed power. I spoke to someone who had it and they said it was unbelievable for the money!

Ive had both and it's worth the money to get the Midas Tac. My Midas Tac 4-16x44 is definitely an upgrade over the SWFA 3-15x42 FFP I used to own. Now the fixed power scopes are nice but the 16x42 and 20x42 aren't as bright as the others. I was a big fan of the 10x42 and 12x42 though. But still prefer my Midas Tac.

Impact .25, and you need focus down to 10 yards? That is 3 meter. From muzzle to target about 2,5 meter.
I wonder - what are you shooting at that distances?

This is my 1st air rifle and nearly everyone has told me to get a scope that focuses down to 10 yards for an air rifle. I can't say I PLAN on shooting anything 10 yards away but many reviews I have seen for the Arken has mentioned it "may not be good for air rifles bc it only focuses down to 25 yards"

Would you disagree with that?

Most air rifles seem to be running the Element Helix (but I am not spending $1,500 for a scope) or something comparable like a Nightforce, Hawke, etc.

The thing with getting a scope that goes down to 10yds is they are totally versatile. You may get a .177 down the road or you may want to shoot indoors or in a small backyard of a friend etc. You may get small game surprise you and pop up close. It also helps possible resale value going down to 10yds as it can be used for just about any application including Field Target competition etc. Things change and versatility comes in handy. IMO

One thing I have seen myself and others posted about manufacturers claiming they focus down to 25yds is that is not an accurate measurement. It can vary from scope to scope within the same part number. Some off 5 plus yards always on the long side.

I have to agree shooting any .25 cal at 25yds or under is extremely boring. I mean like 3 or 4 shots and I am reaching for a 177.
