Well yesterday Pops and I went to the indoor range, came home with empty tanks. So while drinking coffee and filling my Cricket I see an evil attack rabbit. Luckily I had filled Pops Avenger. I slid open the window and dispatched the vicious rodent. (Disclaimer, I live where it is legal to shoot in my yard. No English Knights we're injured, taunted perhaps...I can neither confirm nor deny the presence of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.)

Did some airgunning this morning.

Nope didn't shoot but I did have this texan completely broken down and did install a brand new Guage onto the 580cc cf tank its sporting so I figured I better air it up and see if it holds till I get home.

I decided to use my smaller 30 min bottle that was under 2600 psi so I could let my Extreme Big Bore booster pump stretch its legs too.

Then I checked over the .510 rounds I had from when I owned my Hammer. These rounds are getting melted down Saturday and recast into the .308 rounds you see there.

Getting closer to taking this build to the range.

So start off brand new to the forum but read it all the time love it learned so much on here. So what I’ve done with my Airgun today is added a few things… things I’d have never expected to see such high results. I have an FX Maverick.30 cal 600mm barrel. Sent it out to Utah Airguns to get a slug tune came back doing about 940-950 with the FX Hybrids 44.5 grains.I through on some after market parts huma pin probe saber tactical buttstock and arca rail through on an Element Helix 6-24x50 and was doing around the same no real noticeable difference, (should add i through in the v2 transfer port as well) anyways I had this $8 hammer spring sitting around I didn’t really feel like doing was decent enough as is for speed and accuracy. Very accurate actually) but I finally through it in there… WOW. It jumped 30 fps instanti!! Who’d have thought an $8 hammer spring would bring such returns? Have the 44.5 Hybrids doing 979, 43.8 grain Nielsen’s doing 984 and the .50 grain fx pellets doing 949… I mean that last one is 100 fpe on the nose. From the 600mm barrel that’s not too shabby in my opinion. The huma set up is so worth the short money it is to upgrade your gun instantly. Not to meet they don’t sell or make a slug kit for the .30 cal Maverick so I made my own and man am I pleased. Has anyone else achieved the results I did? Curious. This is the set up I use.
