What gun to choose?

I started out some years ago with a gen1 Mrod in .25 myself...shot a lot of woodchucks, rabbits, squirrels with that thing and had a blast. The Mrod trigger is superb...but like you decided I wanted to get into the higher end of things and upgrade my arsenal! After now having several higher end guns I'm going mention one gun you didn't....Taipan Veteran long in .25 cal is a very well built and rugged airrifle with an excellent trigger and power to spare...also shoots a bunch of different ammo very well even slugs.... I know I know you didn't mention this one but its worth a look and stacks up to all the guns your looking at...

I also have a. 25 Cricket carbine power tuned by Derrick Wall and it's a beast of an airrifle too...

Just my .02

what other company's make gun in the us?

RAW. That's short for Rapid Air Weapons.

The Raptor has some lead time but each gun is hand-built to order. Given the sheer amount of barrel choices etc, and the little niceties like balanced valves and superb efficiencies, these are great guns. If I get over my physical disdain for bottle-guns I'd be ordering one right this second. Added bonus: JSAR honors veterans with a 10% discount.

I still advise going out and handling the various bullpups. Some folks get really excited about them then try one and next thing you know it is up for sale.

i've looked at the tiapans also just not sure with the cocking handle that far back but i do hear good thing about them. i would like to shoot one first.

I shot a tiapan veteran when I was at RMAC. It's a sweet gun but like you said, the rear cocking is awkward. I wanted to know what hype was on the tiapan and I what got from shooting this gun is the trigger was awesome for a bullpup. Other than that, i didnt see the tiapan was anymore accurate then any other high dollar gun.

Mid cocking gun is the way to go but you end up getting use to any gun after a while.

i've also been looking at the continuum thinking the short barrel for hunting and the long for long rang target shooting. what kind of accuracy are you getting with the 380mm barrel?

Upto 50meters .5inch groups easily.

Plinking mini coke cans at 100meter also no problem.(18.13GRAIN)

Today also tested some NSA .217 20.2grains 4/5groups(100yards) <1inch with 1group that now is my personal best sofar...(700mmslugliner@930fps)

Im looking to get a new air rifle. And i cant decide between the fx dreamline, the priest2, the uragans, or the edun r5m or lelya2.0.

Let me hear your thoughts on these guns.

I would suggest, try before you buy, bullpups are not for everyone, the ergonomics hand head position can be compromised compared to a more traditional rifle.

The Lelya 2.0 is pretty hard to beat as an all-round, go-to air rifle package. They are reliable, extremely rugged, accurate, extremely compact and quite powerful. Pair that with magazine fed and side cocking and you can see why I choose EDgun. With a BAT moderator they are among the quieter full power .25s. This one is tuned at 855 fps with the 25.4s and is shooting lights out! It is stock configuration except the BAT moderator.

Essentially as good as the 700mm. I don't really ever measure groups. But I do take great time and care in tuning and dialing in my guns. The factory tune was excellent, but I managed to make it considerably more efficient, quiet, and powerful. Shots are dead on out to 75yrds. Havn't done much testing past that, but I'm sure on a calm day the same would be true further out.

Almost all my shots are within 40-70 yards. I can make off-hand shots with extreme confidence and precision as the balance and weight is supurb.
