N/A What gun amazed you?

I have a pair of Niksan Ozark, sub $400, that is could walk around and shoot with someone and their $2,000 gun and there would be exactly no difference in result.

Quite possibly from the bench they would score higher. But general use, nope.
i'm proud of you !! (y)

The quality of the low-end has markedly improved especially in the last two years.
Umarex Zelos / SnowPeak M60b
Umarex Notos / SnowPeak PP750
Niksan Ozark and Elf
Reximex Throne 2 and Meta Premium
Barra 250z
Kuzey K600 and K900

All are well made and accurate rifles. Search here on AGN for issues with any of them. They all work.

Let's not forget the venerable AirForce utility platform, Condor, Talon, Escape. 25 years old (more) design that is virtually unbreakable and very accurate.

we all know and agree where your coming from, but when someone is looking out for the well being of there investments being agriculture or other sources of income with pest control and the sport of hunting to feed the family.......the "$2K and beyond guns" pay for themselves quickly with trust and performance
in the situations that arrive with shot by shot precision and the repair support that is available by there manufacturers
or our members here that can repair top tier guns and parts availability.
i also have some sub $400 guns and they do suit there needs well. (y)
Yep, I get that and 100% agree. I'm just not there.

your speaking to the choir dude........ i have a few AF guns.
if you would better read my reply earlier, i spoke of not only pest control, but also hunting....meaning filling the freezer with medium size game like deer and
feral hogs. small bores are unethical for hogs unless there FPE is considerably higher with heavy projectiles and state laws have FPE guidelines for deer, that the guns in your list will not and can not meet.

My FX Boss (.30), Royale 500 (.25) & my recently acquired Edgun R3 long slugger (.22). I don't keep guns that don't amaze me. My bar (for satisfaction) has been set very high. I realize the accuracy my guns can achieve & I won't settle for less. It's not that I planned it, it was purely the luck of the draw that I ended up with what I have & all 3 never cease to amaze.

In order:

1. Mora (holy hell what a gun…)
2. Wildcat MK III compact (uber consistent, a thing of beauty - to me - with the black power laminate stock and - for me - perfect ergonomics)
3. Uragan 3 (let it sit for 2 weeks, pick it up and shoot a 1.3-1.6 SD over the entire tank…)

Honorable mention: Prophet, RW

Vulcan 3 700 mm .25 Cal with JSB knockouts.

FX Leopard 600 mm .25 Cal with NSA 29 grain slugs.

FX Panthera Compact Hunter with JSB MKII 34 grains.

FX DRS .22 Cal with NSA 25 grain slugs.

Vulcan 3 700 mm .30 Cal with AVS .3063 55 grain slugs.

The accuracy, reliability and performance are top among the PCP's I have shoot with (there are some).

They seem to be a different categorie.

I love my Skout Epoch. This was my first electronic rifle and I have not been disappointed. What amazed me was the customer service. Darryl has always been willing to get me on the right path whenever I have had questions or problems. The rifle is amazing. Very easy to perform maintenance since the company made videos on how to fix all their major components. I have had my share of leaks, but i have been able to fix them. Now, I can strip the rifle and reassemble comfortably, without fear of messing it up more. There have been ups and downs with this rifle, but on a whole, I am quite pleased with it’s performance.

Taipan Veteran type 1's and or Mutants, I've had seven over the years and quite simply they have ruined me for all other brands...with the compacts and Mutant being the best of the best...these models are slightly lighter than the standards. Give me an unmolested type one Vet and a couple days with it and I'll show you note worthy groups...hasn't failed yet. A case in point...This sweet Ukrainian compact .22 is inbound to me to be delivered tomorrow....completely original, (no holes drilled in the stock for pic rail) I hate that! I will be posting about this one in the near future, wanna' bet that it won't be "amazing"!

So what FPE do you need?
Is 70FPE .25 enough?

hogs yes with precision brain shots for ethical kills.
deer, absolutely not !
Well, my .25 Condor can sling a 33.95gr pellet at 1000FPS.

How abut 200FPE with a .257?
Texan for 800 used, $1000 new (blemished)
Lothar-Walther 34" barrel
Good out to at least 200 yards
And that is the least of the Texan line

The most reliable and robust platform. Action unaffected by dirt, grime or rain.
perfect for farm or hunting.

So, no you do not need to spend $2000 for your list.
