In the Fx Dreamline manual, in the regulator section it says: Never use the gun below the set regulator pressure, as damage to the system can occur and will void the warranty. This means that if the regulator is set to 140 bar from the factory, when the tank pressure gauge reaches 140 bar, if we keep shooting and the regulator pressure starts to drop, can it be damaged? When I have done chronography I have shot below 140 bar to see how the speed of the pellet behaves and I have seen other people do it in their chronographs.

There may be a low pressure level below the set point, at which point the reg becomes inoperative, and the rifle would behave as if being fired with no air.

That doesn't make sense, are you sure it doesn't say dont set it below a certain minimum? Like 80-85 bar for example.
I'm 99% sure you can adjust the reg on a dreamline from 80-170 like almost all FX guns.

I think FX is covering their butt by putting this in to the manual but you should be ok shooting below 140 bar just as long as you don't shoot your gun without any air pressure. I've read some guys tune their pcp's down to 80 bar with no problems but you have remember if you adjust your reg, you also have to adjust your hammer spring.

If you shoot below reg. You could possibly break your valve stem. Why buy a regulated gun if you were going to shoot off reg. Hope this helps.

Never known it to happen. Shouldn't happen unless you are WAY below the set point. Typical legalese, assumes the buyer is a total idiot.

It would be interesting to hear from one of the reg makers, if asked about the threshold pressure for functionality, not consistency, just protection of the valve. My guess, it would be considerably lower than most of us would ever use.

TBH some days ago, tossing and turning in bed for hours trying to fall asleep, i got to think what about gauges with a alarm in them ( the digital ones )
To my brain after spinning in bed for 8 hours or so it sounded wonderful, know what your reg pressure is, set bottle pressure alarm a bit higher than that.

On an older FXCyclone I had, it stated in the manual to not fire it below a certain pressure or without air.
I did, and it wadded up the valve spring and ruined the spring.
I imagine that this is the same thing they are trying to prevent happening here.
