Contact FX service they will be able to inform you what it is for and weather or not if you should screw it in or out

It’s your regulator adjustment. Turn counter clockwise to raise pressure, clockwise to lower. It should be referenced in your manual, along with instructions on how to adjust properly without damaging it.

I am not familiar with that FX model, but it could be that the regulator may not be oriented the direction as designed and shown in the manual because assembly with the regulator pointed out makes for easier tuning. Alternatively, threads are not always machined exactly the same and thus may not line up the same on everything at final assembly.

Not true at all. These are oriented usually to the side so they can be adjusted on the fly. Not always, but the tube can be oriented to make it that way.

Yes, most of the newer stuff, mavericks included, the reg screw is accessible without stock removal. Similarly it was accessible on my wildcat mk2 with amp reg, and that was before the mk3 was available!

My Wildcat Mk III is also pointing...up. As it should to be accessible for adjustment.
Actually "up" is partially incorrect. It's at about a 15 or so degree angle from vertical.

Ok thanks for the response, Manual indicated adjustment was under stock. Ill ck it out.
