What does the red and green band means on Gamo rifles?

I just bought a GEN 1 Gamo Swarm Whisper and it has a green band. I really want a GEN 2 and return this one but it's sold out everywhere!

Is red more powerful than green?

And what is a magnum break barrel air rifle?

I own a few Gamo break barrels!

This is my understanding the red is for plinking and the green is for hunting.

My red bands are .177

And my green band is .22

Magnums are usually a bigger sized cylinder piston or spring ...

Usually more feep per second. More energy

That's correct. The green band indicates what Gamo considers to be a gun in their hunting line. That is, one that is more powerful than the plinking guns signified by the red band. It may be based on caliber or power, or both.

Another question, it has to say Magnum for it to be a magnum? I was shooting 25gr at about 460fos average. A magnum can do much more?

Stop shooting bricks through your gun is my recommendation. Check velocity with lighter pellets. Could be a couple things going on.
