What do you guys use to clean your barrels?

For powder burners I have a few cleaning rods of various cals. But for airguns, I usually never run a patch thru. I have a pocket cleaning kit from when Beeman Precision still sold them, but I have never used it. I was thinking of getting some of those long Q tip type pull thru disposable mops. Also, I wondered what solvents might do to seals. Do you think Ballistol would be ok to run thru something with an oring?

I like doing cleaning pellets every 300 shots or so and a thorough cleaning after around 1000 shots. Not familiar with ballistol but I avoid using anything to wet my patches that I wouldn't put on my o-rings.

They really can’t slip off inside the barrel.
Most o rings are Buna N. Buna N is highly resilient to petroleum products.

Agreed Ballistol and patch worm for me but I do have a rod too for heavy cleaning.

Ballistol and JL Crown Saver. Works similar to the patchworm.

I believe Ballistol is safe on rubbers, and synthetic rubbers. I’ve used it for over 10 years with no perceivable negative effects including o-rings.

Ballistol and a loop of 60# Plastic coated steel fish leader pushed in from the muzzle end and appropriate size parches.

I use a price of weed eater string & a patch soaked with goo gone, change patch ever 4-5 passes till patch comes out clean. Then pull a bore snake through, then a patch with 2-3 drops of Lucas gun oil.

Ditto. Polished every bbl I own so I need to do is pull one wet patch and 1-2 dry.

take the weedeater string and heat the end up so you can make a ball so that it will catch the patch i use this and ballistol
