What do I need to do to maintain a hand pump?

I have two Hill Mk4's and I use them most days to fill my seven PCP's, I pump a lot! I consider hand pumps "low" maintenance not "no" maintenance, pictured is a Hill Mk4 service kit, the o-rings are remarkably durable requiring replacement very infrequently however disassembly cleaning relubing I do every couple of months, this takes at least an hour or two, clean everything inside and out with alcohol clean the internal filter inspect the orings, I've learned that o-ring #18 & #12 are the ones that fail most, also during use keep silicone grease on the #30 tube surface, I've added additional moisture and "dirt" filters on my pumps. I highly recommend the Hill Mk4!

I fill my 213cc Gauntlet and 500cc Nova with my Hill MK4. Super easy, just takes time to let the pump cool. It barely gets warm, but I pump slowly to help prevent heat buildup.

Takes 80 pumps to refill the Gauntlet back up to 3000psi after 25 shots. One 20 min cool down.

Takes 200 pumps to refill the Nova back up to 2900psi after 100 shots. Four 20 min cool downs.

I have not even had the pump a year, but so far so good.
