What distance should I zero my Eotech?

Sorry I’m a newbie. I squirrel in my backyard, mostly take my shots around 10-12yards, often times I follow up at closer distance like 8-10yards. Rarely I may need to take a shot at 12-18 yards.

So my question is what distance should I zero and what kind to holdover do I need at varying distances?

I have ran red dots for yeas on AR's shooting 5.56mm/.223. I always rand a 50 yds zero which gets me at point of Aim/point of impact out to about 225 yds.

For an Airgun, I think I would zero at 25 yds and then see where my drops are at 10 yds /15yds/20 yds.

Your best dope is the one you make by going out and shooting your airgun and see what works the best for you and the airgun your using, the power and the pellet.
