Just got back yesterday after 2 weeks of airgun hunting, doves, cotton tails and be able to cook it in the motorhome. Now got to start filling up the air tanks and be ready for grouse opening next week.

Today I went to the airgun range for the tenth day in a row. Can’t go again till Saturday. But what a bunch of shooting and refining my scope wheel and practicing on my field target range.
This is what I get from shooting 1000 pellets. I set the field targetTo difficult. All targets are from 35-55 yards. I missed one yesterday and a couple today. The excuse chart. I put the targets in the bushes and tried to shoot the sticks and missed the kill zone. I focused on one target them shot at another target. And one time I aimed at a target and missed. No excuse .
On the sight in bench rest I was having fun shooting the rain drops hanging from the spinners. Seeing the droplet turn to steam and the spinner not move is very satisfying.

You can put up a piece of drywall behind the hole, at least when dry this will give a excellent hit indication in the form of a puff of dust.
We are now using this on our " thread the needle " targets as we run out of the shooting gallery chalks.
If you are not bang on drilling the same hole again and again there will be indications hitting in the general area.
we have also put up little pieces of drywall ( about 4 X 8 inches ) at various distances, have fun carefully shooting them smaller and smaller from the side ( top and in, but you can of course also just do a line of shots across it.
BTW my Two hold air / pressure, there do seem to have been a 10 BAR loss in the fill kit / tether micro bore hose, though this do not worry me as it have after all been some hours since i finished that job.

The airgun range is set up in a very wooded area and it gets really wet. I need to stick with water proof stuff. I spray paint the targets for hit indication.
I also have a target at 50 yards that goes from 2 in to 1/4 inch. That is the most fun.

Yes visual indication is king, but when you have " leaded " all around a 6 - 8 mm hole 80 yards away, it get hard to see where you miss.
And when you do hit the little hole, it is very gratifying with a puff of dust drifting across the open field.
We have the chalks / the dry wall in a gravity magazine on the back side of our thread the needle targets, so at least the chalks dont deteriorate much, but maybe drywall will suck in moisture, but it should be pretty covered for direct rainfall at least.
My M8 is in the process of making a larger paddle target, CUZ the one we do have even if we shoot just .177 / 13 grain, well we very often get a full reset of all the other paddles flipping one of them up.
And this is the case even way out at 118 M distance.
Also just have 4 paddles, we would like 8 or maybe 10 of them
would also like a KYL style target, but i think you will want one in proper steel even if pea shooting, we are generally dealing with scrap for our targets.
The heavy rimfire peddles we have, well the big one about 3" in diameter, it barely move when a 13 grain slug hit it, the smallest of the 3 paddles will do a full spin or two if hit bang on.
The target 1/4" steel simply too heavy steel for us pea shooters.
And when you do hit the little hole, it is very gratifying with a puff of dust drifting across the open field.

That’s the problem I have with shooting at the 100 yard rimfire range. Theses are all airgun targets. 10-20 yards are steel. 30-75 yards are mostly aluminum. The KYL target set is very thick steel. And they swing great .

Modified my Notos with lighter trigger spring, added a Dream valve and a bottle which effectively tripled the shot count

In the past I have always cleaned pellets with water and dawn. Today I tried swirling them around in 99% alcohol. I did this after tumbling 250 at a time in a microfiber towel. Boy the look shiny after this process! After water they always tarnish. I plan on doing a batch in dry wax to see how my S200 likes that.

I use a hair dryer and get them really hot. Actually dry out the paper towel under them. Then move them into a plastic bag that I always use and add one drop per 100 pellets of magic oil and slosh them around. I do 500-1000 at a time. Takes five minutes .
