Should be a good fix as the break is clean. Will find out today after work.
Since that video I moved from Casting Corner in my shop to the Castin Shack. It's a much cleaner space where me and my 2 buddies can hang out.Morning y'all..
I was shooting the .25 AV Avenger yesterday and noticed my supply of pellets getting low. So today the plan is to pour up some more.
Some time back I did a video on how I cast my pellets and put it on YouTube. I thought I might share that video with y'all this morning.
In the video I was casting with a .22 2 cavity mold. Today I'll be running my .25 4 cavity mold.
Anyways... get the popcorn, here's my video.
looks good !Did the same today….357 NOE 84 gr pellet mold from Al’s retirement sale.View attachment 586497
I haven’t shot them yet. I just got the mold last week and finally tried it out yesterday. I’m hoping they shoot well out of my standard Challenger 24”. After I did my preliminary sort, I ended up with 240 of them for an hours work. I’ll get them washed and lubed today. I’m thinking of using the same 10w silicone oil as I use on slugs. Anything else I should try instead?looks good !
how do they shoot ?
in what .357 gun ?
sounds like you got a good plan....let us know how they performI haven’t shot them yet. I just got the mold last week and finally tried it out yesterday. Thanks for the kind words...
Good chance of rain today and even though it's under shelter I don't like to expose my shooting equipment to all that moisture in the air. It's already bad enough that we have everyday high levels of humidity here in lower Alabama without adding rain.
I'd like to get my .25 Avenger with the Buck Rail Tactical kit out and do some shooting from the new bench but we'll have to see what the weather does.
Might just hang out in the climate controlled shop and tinker with the DLX Windows software for the Pro Chrono instead. I can open the shooting window and keep most of that moisture out.
BTW... I only run my compressors in the climate controlled shop and have yet to see any signs of moisture in any of my guns that I've checked
Lower Alabama? I’m in Eight Mile. When it cools off enough to shoot in the afternoons (with a fan and a big umbrella), the showers and thunderstorms roll in. Made it out today to get an hour of practice in with the DRS Tactical .25. I cut my deck railing down for my built in bench. Thanks for the kind words...

I fill from my tank so no breaks from the heat to refill my AR, the tank usually lasts a week then gets topped off inside. Even inside, I run the compressed air through a couple of moisture absorption filters to ensure no moisture makes it into the tank and then my AR. If I stopped shooting to refill my AR with the compressor, I’d probably get distracted and end up taking another nap.Looks great.
I was able to shoot a good bit today. I would shoot awhile then duck into the shop or the house to cool off then go back out and shoot some more. I run the compressors in the a/c in the shop so filling guns also gives me a break from the heat. A least the temps are dropping some. We may be over the hump.
