What did you do airgun related today.

I played with this today.

And made parts for these.

Was a good day. I know when I get home the printers will be done so I will have to clean those up for whatever is next. Lol

Went shooting at my favorite spot to see if I could shoot "long range" about 112 paces to target. Gamo magnum gen3 .22 shooting jsb 18.13gr jumbo exacts. I usually use this for yard plinking and starling shooting at maybe 40yds mostly. Maybe she's good to farther out lol. Excited to see how far I can consistently hit stuff. 20250628_151248.jpg20250628_151111.jpg20250628_151105.jpg
Sighted in on the 5in on bottom, put a 5rnd group on the top 3in plate and went 5 for 5!

I shot my P35 25 cal at 30 yards and my Revere. I was doing well on a 30y challenge target, then I went off regulator ☹️
Better luck next time. Before starting the card I tried two different pellets. I also tried two different moderators and without. So I didn't guess my shot count well.

Ares Tactical. I exchanged emails with them, and while they didn't have a parts list available they did have a regulator assembly. They must've had some spares.
On the website they didn't have any parts for the rifle. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they have another one hiding somewhere! Thanks.

Went to the farm for a bit of a walk-about. Seasonal rains have broken our heat wave. Squirrels were more active than they were in the mid 105-110 degrees last week.

Slow and steady was the game. Most squirrels were either inside the burrow or right next to the entrances. I was good for 23 of 25 shots. Had one opportunity to get a triple on three little ones, but had to shoot that one standing and freehand. I was not disappointed to only hit one of the trio.

The Reximex Tormenta .25 did the negotiation duties, with impact supplied by AA .25 domes.

So I made a pretty interesting observation today. Been testing different weight slugs in the Vulcan 3 since I got the new HP Regulator. It was shooting 65 grain slugs at 990 feet per second and then I dropped down to 62.5 grain and when I went to the range and tested today, they were only shooting at 976 FPS which made no freaking sense because they were lighter.

It was annoying me for a couple hours but it's still over 105° so I didn't feel like going back out to the range and then it dawned on me I normally do my velocity testing indoors so I set up my chronograph in my man cave and sure enough there was about a 25 FPS difference... averaged 1001 FPS indoors.

So I am assuming it is something to do with the angle the light was hitting the chronograph outside or something because I shot two strings of six inside and they basically came up identical.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

I'll do some more comparisons at some point outside versus inside.
Here's my setup in my man cave, now I got to vacuum up all the wood chips
