What did you do airgun related today.

Got around to test the Franken Chrono Mod in my living room / kitchen.

Using 10 gr Heavy pellets at a not ideal speed, but here i am just looking for the shots to be reliably picked up by the Nate chrony stadyshot.

Parts / tools:

Huma MOD40 moderator.
Nate Chrony Steadyshot.
40/42 mm Carbon fiber pipe.
Dremel.
Two 5 mm spacer to space the Steadytshot out in CF pipe so its sensors is lined up wit where the lead fly by.

ATM fitting on Huma MOD with a light press fit ( filled gap with a little painters tape, just a couple of 1/10 mm needed )

I have already modified the foam in my case to be able to take this long,,,,,, contraption.

So far i call the FCM a success, though i still need to hit it with MAX air pressures shooting the heavy stuff, but i do not think it will have issues passing the air so to say.

Shooting 10 M across living room / hall and kitchen.

Here is a stretch. It is airgun related.

I bought a 22 lr target rifle a long time ago. And quickly discovered the state of ammunition in regards to consistency. So it has been in my safe ever since. I happen to have an old field target scope for open class I’m not using. It’s a 10-40 x56 .
At the range where I built the field target / airgun range there is a pretty big rimfire range going out 100 yards with all sorts of metal targets. I can knock them down with an airgun but can’t reset with only 16 ft lb.
So I think I am going to go and shoot this rifle with the 22lr guys and see if I can get some of them to try out the airgun range. It’s worth a try and it would be nice to sight this in.

The Hummingbird migration has arrived in south Alabama so I have skipped my afternoon pinking for a few days since I have 4 feeders within 15’ of my bench. Today I gave it a try and the Hummers didn’t seem to mind. Of course, I paused for the ones doing acrobatics in front of my muzzle to clear the airspace.

Talked to Rich at AGR about my Maurader. Getting the full power hunting tune!
It sounds incredible. Just doing a leak test/wait and then on its way home!
I will document everything it does. It is an LW barrel .22 tuned for 25.4gr pellets.
Will test velocity shot strings and accuracy at 50yd and 100yrd. With 18-28g pellets.I have a collection of them, most brands even.
Expect incredible.
I'm stoked!

today was a sort-of Air gun day , 25 miles to town 6 stores one item each and 25 miles back home , one item Needsfoot oil @ Wallmart is for rejuvenating leather seals .Now i can shoot .chores done !! 4 tins of JSB arrived and now airing up AA S 510 going out to shoot , be back later .

Hand tumbled pellets this morning .
Just to show how much can be knocked off

First quick tumble then the 2ed

I usualy go several times cleaning the tumbling rag in-between.

Its funny just how clean and shiny and nothing in the bottom of the tin dirty wise but that much ( i think i tumbled that tin 6 times @60 sec a tumble.

If you think one of them little flakes hid up inside a skirt could throw the pellets balance off to cause a miss or throw it off a tad ..

By the way . Them Benjamin match pellets that tumbling them is what there doing to improve over regular ones ..fyi

Shooting pellets with the new DRS. Very impressed. This gun is Super rigid and well built (typical of FX), cocking is a dream, the guns movement is like a Vaseline covered baracuda gliding through an astroglide ocean. the efficiency of this gun is impressive. 210cc, shooting 18.13JSB at 860 nearing 70 shots. Super accurate, Not as loud as I was expecting. The only complaint, which is more of a minor gripe is the DRS mini magazine. the front plate locking system leaves very little room to get your finger in to wind the follower open. This was 50m with 18.13s. They would be tighter if I had shot at higher zoom rather than 2.5x

The sim card and blue piece of wrapper are covering up the holes from the nails that pinned it to the tree.
