The wind died down after dinner, so I hung an already-holed mini soda can in the pellet trap with the goal of cutting the can in 10 pellets or fewer. The can had been shot 60 times (including the bottom and top), leaving yet another of those maddeningly tiny strips holding the pieces together. I used the Daisy 880 at 33', standing offhand.
The 4th shot sent the bottom clattering down. I then stacked the halves on top of the trap and used the remaining 6 pellets to pop the halves into the air. No misses tonight, and lots of fun for just a few cents!
The gun isn't refined and it is sold in ordinary stores, but there is joy to be had in knowing that it WILL do what is planned without any fuss. Familiarity = comforting.
