I said 22 but that is partially because my P35-22 is my most accurate rifle so it is somewhat more "fun" to shoot targets with. My P35-177 gets a lot of use too since I got it because the ammo is cheaper and it is also accurate and it is a little quieter. But this time last year I just had the Prod and two 25s and I was using the P35-25 most of the time. Before that it was only the Prod so I shot what I had. There were also about six months before I got my P35-25 when the Avenger was new and I was trying all sorts of things with it so it was the most used.

So it depends is my real answer but right now it is the P35-22. They are all fun. It's great to have choices.

Being most of my AG shooting is monthly FT events ... Shoots between are GP's etc ... with practice and testing prior the .20's by far are shot the most by QUANTITY of pellets shot.
Hunting & Plinking otherwise a .177 / .22 split at 90% or so between them, the .30 cal fills the gap. Tho none getting close to equaling that bastard .20 caliber :ROFLMAO:

.25 for pellets and slugs - best of both worlds imo and the mid-30 to 40gr slugs shoot great and use less air than .22 offerings of the same weight range and give up minimal BC advantage.

.22 for slugs only unless I have to use .22 pellets--but who wants to sort those little guys or deal with crushed skirts of MRDs.

.30 when I just want to pound some pests, 30 hades for 75y and under pesting?? Yes and please, bring on the hole makers.

22 as it seems the most versatile vs price. Can drop all the way down to 13 grain and all the way up to 25 although I never do as I have a 25 cal airgun as well. The light 22 stuff is pushed enough by slight winds so I can only imagine what 177 would be so I have never bothered. I love .25 but just don’t really need it when plinking in the yard which is most of my shooting. I will probably never bother with 30 cal. If I need near 100 ft/b 22 rimfire is way cheaper. 35-50 cal is just a powder burners job in my opinion. They aren’t target shooters as it’s way too much air for too few shots. If I’m strictly hunting with said airgun I might as well use a powder gun.

.25

Why? Because I feel like it's a good round of energy and air efficiency.

With the smaller diameter of .22, I feel like it uses more air for similar energy/bc (maybe because the .25 has a larger surface area for air to push). The .30 projectiles are heavier so any advantage the larger surface area is gone as it takes more air to get the weight going. So ime I get the best shot count from .25. That's Just my theory/reasoning though. I love .25 for hunting
