What barrel would be the best for a Spa p-12?

I've got a P-12 with huma regulator and have yet to get it to shoot well. It is deadly on birds if they are behind a tree. It loops pellets horribly. Can watch them spiral and have had some hit paper sideways. Crown is good and have checked everything. So i'm looking for another barrel for it. What would work best for it and who could fit the barrel. Would buy one ready to go if someone has one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and love all the wealth of info here.

Sounds like it is shooting too hot. Have you tried a heavier pellet? Have you shot it across a chronograph to determine what velocity the pellets are leaving the muzzle?

Yes, i've ran it across chrony. Shooting JSB 18.1 gr at 880fps and 16gr at 930fps. Tried several others w/o any luck. 21 grain kodiaks are flying 850fps. I'm lost on this one. When cleaning barrel it does have tight and loose spots in it. It's not leaded up either. Thanks

Those numbers all sound good.

Another thought is a barrel that needs lapping because it has some "sharp" areas from the machining process.

TJ, LW, FX and BSA all sell blanks that would probably be better than the Chinese barrel if machined well. I think TJ and BSA blanks are the cheapest in the list.

Good luck finding one, I know BSA stop making blanks some time ago.

How much air do you fill in the cylinder?
People scare me by saying that It may blast.
And
BSA barrels as well as Lothar Walther may work best.
