What are your thoughts

Honestly, I don't think its an "upgrade". It shoots with the same power and the same accuracy as both the Impact and Crown. Look at the past 5 years of EBR, and see how many times a Bobcat or Boss/Royale came in the top 20, both Professional and Sportsman Class. If you want something "different", or that is more "adjustable", then that may be a reason. But it certainly isn't power or accuracy... And, it has been around quite a while, so the reliability is probably better than either of the other two guns. The only "upgrade" that I recommend is installing a Huma regulator to replace the stock FX regulator.

well centercut no his stuff for sure ,,if you followed his posts you would know,,theres also the excitement of something new ,,i can tell you the WILDCAT AND IMPACT are exellent,,both kick ass ,the CROWN on my hit list too, there are so many nice models this year and not enough money lol,,from the CROWN WILDCAT BROCOCK TEXAN CARBINE AA 510 REGULATED THE NEW EDGUNS ,,,oh im in trouble love em all

I have the original bobcat.25 and a impact.25. I love them both.In my experience the bobcat loves the jsb 25kings and has been a tack driver out of the box from day one. The Impact shoots the mk2s the best for me. One hole groups 16 shots covered by a dime at 57yrds straight from the tin. I have the reg on it set around 140bar shooting around 835fps. I also would love a crown.....maybe Christmas.

I agree with centercut on the only way I see it being an upgrade is if you like to adjust your power alot or change calibers. I don't have an impact or crown but another brand with interchangeable calibers and love it. Currently with a .22 and .30 barrel but likely will get a .25 barrel sometime. I like it as I only need one scope I love and the gun has the same feel and trigger and everything. But if I only wanted one caliber and had a gun in that caliber already that lived up to my expectations and was reliable I likely wouldn't "upgrade"

What would you gain are you spot on pellet on pellet at 50 can you hit a 2 inch circle @ 100 3in Circle 150? You can't get better than that.
I can do it with my impact 25 non x barrel. And my WiIdcat 22 is in @ 100. I'm really confused about what we're supposed to gain with these newer barrels.
I guess if you're going to these competitions and.trying to win you might as well invest in the bigger Longer barrels with a Twist X. Don't think I'm going to.

I would consider it only because I think the Bobcat is fugly :). Seriously, I've been tempted to order a Crown. I've owned several FX guns in the past, and have generally regretted selling all of them, but I don't have time to shoot the RAW or the Mutant much that I own now, so if I bought it, it would just gather a lot of dust. You don't say what the gun is used for. If you are primarily shooting from a bench at paper then I would strongly consider the Crown. If you are primarily hunting or pesting then I would keep what you have. That's why I have the two that I have. My RAW is my bench gun and it is fantastically accurate, but its a little unwieldy and too heavy with the SIII I have on it for hunting or pesting. That's where the Mutant comes in. Great little off hand gun that is very quiet and deadly accurate at hunting ranges. With the current wait times on the Crown, you could probably order one now and save your pennies until it comes in and not have to sell the Bobcat to fund it.
