I like that FX is undoubtedly very innovative. Always pushing the envelope a little further down the line. Disclaimer: I have never owned one, but I spend a lot of time reading and learning from all of you. Lots of folk complain about them and leaks and issues etc. The ones who love them, LOVE them and there are almost no other.
Daystate really does not lack in the innovation department. If you look at what they do with the Pulsar, Red Wolf, etc, you can see this to be true. This tech may not be for you, maybe you prefer a regulator, but it does not take away from the innovation. They exude quality build, they contract the best in the industry to make their stocks, and have the best guarantee out there (for whatever it's worth) Their Harper valve works very well, add a Regulator to it and you may have the best of both worlds.
The W2R for me is probably the way to go. I want to see what it looks like with the traditional Walnut stock. I don't like that very shiny finish on the laminates and hate the finish on the Red Wolf. Also, the lack of information is pretty bad. There is almost nothing on their website as of yet, and AoA's website, to me, is always lacking. Hopefully will get more info in the days to come. I would not buy a W2R until I see some reviews.
Edit: ....for me I would love to see this Daystate W2R "type C" as I don't really like bottles. I know, I know, shot count. I don't care so much about that. I prefer a tube with a built in rail.
