What are you using to polish your wood?

No pun Intended . Needing some recommendations on a good wood polish. I've used beeswax in the future that was pretty good might try again unless someone knows anything better. This is going on a finished stock

Birchwood Casey gun stock wax works for me as it is a great protectant for wood and metal. Not a bright polish but really good for the finish.

Just apply it like dusting a piece of furniture. I use to use a guitar wax, apply,let dry then buff. But pledge pretty much does the same thing. Repels water.May not be as durable but I'm careful not to go banging my rifles around.

If your looking for gloss finish use birchwood casey tung oil the more applications the better the shine . If you want a satin finish go with minwax paste wax 2 to 3 coats + depending on surface grain . Both are easy to apply & dries rather fast .

Thanks to everyone who replied and I'll give a few of those recommendations a try sometime. I went with the tried and true Beeswax. I had a $5 Amazon credit and couldn't pass this up for $4.99 after the credit was applied. If you haven't tried this before I highly recommend it! I'll rub in a few coats and buff out the shine using #0000 steel wool

+1 on the Howard. Also works great along with Restore-A-Finish on old cabinets. Just an FYI.

I like the minwax finish. Applying is just as easy as Kayaker states.

Yep, I use clear floor wax with Carnauba in it. They also have some with a dye in it if you wish to very slightly change the color. Made by Trewax and comes in the old fashion tin can. A single can will last for many years.

Yep, floor wax will last a loooong time. When I was in high school we used floor wax on a car. (it was all we had) It took us all day to buff it out, but it lasted over a year.

Another thing to try instead of 0000 steel wool, is brown paper like the old grocery bags. It will give a nice burnish without the fear of removing too much finish.
