What are you hunting for with your Ataman M2R Carbine 35 Cal/

I am considering hunting deer with mines. There is not much adjusting to this gun and not sure of the best ammo for hunting deer with this gun or if i can. Please share you hunting experience.
This airgun only pushes 150fpe, far below the 215fpe minimum energy requirements for many states. Please check your states regs on power to ensure compliance.

Personally, I'd pass on deer with this gun, but it probably makes a fine raccoon/coyote hunter.

Doe patrol under 100yds you will be just fine as long as you know how and where to shoot, avoid shoulders obviously. You may not want to hit a bigger deer further than 50yds, so greater hunting skill is needed with lower power. If it is legal in your state, rock it. If i get the chance, I will here in KY. Time restraints tend to leave me less time so longer shots are needed to harvest more deer.

with good shot placement, i have taken many whitetail with my 105fpe .30 Uragan with
jsb ko slugs.
with neck shots and of course the brain !!
you have got to be good in letting them get close to you just like bow hunting.

i had a WP/ SY recluse for years shooting my hand cast 95gr solids and it done very well also with the correct POI.
good luck !!

I am at 30 yards distance, and I am using Pro Slugs 80 gr Terminator SW slug. I have the gun shooting 920 fps/152 fpe at muzzle hole in hole at 30 yards off a tripod. Gun power at 30 yards 879 fps/139 fpe. I have orderd a Texan 457 ss, which will be here in early Dec. I pass up a 8 pointer this past week because it was close to the poperty line and I just wasn't comfortable with gun power past 30 yards being to drop deer before it cross the poperty line. I will keep you guys posted as my season progress. Thanks for your thoughts and considerations with happen me make the right choice.
