What am I doing Wrong mounting a scope on my M4

Try another scope. Keep in mind the 20moa/5.8mil incline. 10-15" low at 25 shouldn't actually be possible with a level gun. Unless its tp is closed and the micro set all the way down, and the PW set on min.

Might also help to get the bore dead even with target if possible. Gun 90⁰, shoot a group if they're striking at or very near bore level jts the sight. Don't aim. Just set the gun level and shoot

Edit: I've bought FX guns from UA. Did they not send a card with the velocity they tested at with which projectile? It should even have the techs name on it.
My impact came with one in the m3 era, my recent dreamline did not.

No" new out the box from Utah Airguns, yesterday was my first outing with it, I know they did a leak test, and the barrel was quite dirty but cleaned it
(4 patch worms) what do you think?
Do you have a moderator? Maybe clipping. Or something wrong in the mount
yes, I do (SIGMA M4) works well on all I've put it on before... I'm too old to get insulted about things I don't know about" that's why I'm here! ;)
this is what happened- I mounted the scope, I bottomed it out & counted 30 clicks up and shot for bullseye, the POI was 6-10 inches lower than the target, looking through the scope I turned the elevation turret up and the reticle went down to the impact point and it grouped one ragged hole there. The Turret was on line 2, I turned the Elevation turret up to see how much was left- one full rotation and about 3/4 of another when it stopped. I'd like the turret to be centered on line 1 for more distance.

My dreamline tac has a 20moa. Im pretty sure the m4 has a 20 or 30moa. I'm willing to bet on dialing the wrong way or not enough to offset the incline

My DRS has 30 and crown 20moa as well.
I meant the velocity card from UA.

As for tilted bases, ya the dreamline has 20, the impact had 20, i put eagle vision rings on to tilt my scop for max z travel and it ended up being around 30 or 35 moa, then I replaced the rail and optic type. I got a 30 moa 1 piece rail (mostly to solve the tolerance stacking of m3 and older design top strap/rail) and put a video scope on it that range finds and ballistic solves and that turned the impact onto a death ray.

Got one in May.

yes, it came with a card, but was shooting way faster than what was written" Jsb exact Heavy 25.39 @ 900fps, I got 988 on my chronograph but before I started out my session (I used FX 25.4) the reg was set to 110 bar so I lowered it to 90 and landed in the 870s for my first outing with the rifle, UA is busy today so I've text them about what scope rings and things to start out with...

Theres a learning curve and small errors cascade with the impact which makes it ideally suited to the mechanically inclined that like puzzles (me). My impact was set up initially with a helix, 130 bar and tuned for max power to be hybrids at 950, roll the wheel down for monsters as they hace less bearing surface on the bore, and then down in the lower numbers I shot 18gr jsb. Now my gun can't shoot pellets anymore due to state of tune and if tuned lower my heavy liner doesn't like anything but monster redesigns for pellets.

I tested poi changes manually and then found that fiddling with different setups in strelok as a thought exercise was pretty rewarding for velocity and zero distance.

What height over bore.

If you got it out of the box and touched nothing. In a perfect world you'd be roughly 20moa high on top of factoring height over bore.

"Bottomed out". In which way.
going down to the bottom, elevation turret up/down... To be honest I'm new to dialing turrets for distance, I'm a hold over guy" I used to mount the scope and zero, make a yardage chart and that's it never really touching the turret again unless I've bumped the barrel or something (LOL) even cheap gear can become more accurate with a budget friendly scope dialing for distance

yeah, I'm new to the Impact' I wanted one two years ago but figured a new version was coming so I waited, I have an old Royal 400 b4 smooth twist, liners, and amp reg (lol) a solid point and shoot' I bought the Crown when it first came out barrel liner, no amp reg at that time. I've upgraded them a little over the years, neither shoot slugs, so here I am trying to learn to tune and all that? I've got to get this scope thing figured out first!

That explains it. I'm gonna guess your scope has some 90moa of travel? If you bottomed all the way out on "down" you'd be shooting extremely low. So you were up 20moa/5.8mil, bottomed out 25 MIL, came up "30" clicks 3mil. You're still 17mil low or 6.2" a 25

You -25, rail brings it up well call it 5, you click up 3 mils. Your problems that youre -17

Hello Forum members! I spent way too much time today trying to mount a scope on my M4 only to have 1.5 revelations left on the elevation turret?
my gear- Athlon Midas Tac HD, 6-24x50, Mrad, 30mm tube, Element Optics low scope rings. I was trying to get as much elevation as the scope would allow, w/the scope bottomed out I click up 35 and 40 clicks/4 mrad and start zeroing from there. Aim at the Bull and the pellet hole is 10" or 15" inches down. So, I dialed the elevation turret up and the reticle drops to the point of impact, and I got my 25yds zero. But" the Elevation turret is now up on line two or slightly more" and there's about 1 3/4 full revelations of travel and the scope is maxed out vertically... The scope rail has built in MOA, I'm sure the rail is not backwards or something, I slid it back for eye relief that's it. I usually can mount and zero in 30 mins or less- Not today! 🤬
Your problem may be with the zero stop. It prevents full vertical adjustment of the scope. Take it out and try again.

I too waited for 2 years and learned only buy 1 generation old fx stuff if you don't want to be a test group. The great part about the impact if your experience is like mine, is how much you're about to learn and understand about shooting and pneumatics.
