What a sweet little rifle! HW30s deluxe .22

I just got my new HW30s deluxe from AOA and what a little gem this thing is! Here’s the first shots out of it, fives shots at 15 yards, shot off of a front bag with a tail bag.

I shot at the snow open sights, and then used the first hole as the aim point.The following four shots were in finger nail sized hole, then the one was out of the group.

Then I mounted the bug buster scope and it got better. Here’s ten shots at 15 yards. This little rifle is just so sweet, light weight and slim with perfect balance. I’m going to try a red dot tomorrow. This is going to be so much fun to shoot off hand!

That Bug Buster scope looks perfect on that rifle. I'm sure the red dot will work very well too. That stock looks like walnut. Is that why it's called the deluxe version?

Yes, it’s a walnut stained beech as I understand it. Such a tight little rifle. I would have died for this gun in the eighth grade lol!

Congratulations! You might want to consider sending to John in PA and have a vortex kit installed. The kit takes an exceptional air rifle and turns it into a family heirloom.

Thanks for the information on the tune guys, it’s pretty smooth right now, but I definitely believe you are right. I’ll be looking into a tune for sure. Do you have his contact information?

I have the same rifle in .22 with a vortek pg4 kit in it, very sweet rifle indeed. Mine wears a Williams peep sight, great little plinker.

Yep, beautiful little rifles. I have one in .177 with a Hawke scope on it. I pick off acorns on golf tees at 20 yards. Enjoy it.

Great shooting!! I just received the same gun in .177 on Thursday from AOA! Can't wait to get out and shoot it. I was wondering about a scope and yours have me a good starting point.

I reached out to a couple tuners and connected with John first so I’m sending the rifle off to him. We had a great visit, and while he was explaining the tune to me he had to take a break to shoot a starling lol! I could here him saying “ hold still buddy” and then pop! Followed by smack!! Hilarious, I heard the demise of a starling in Pa. from Montana lol! 
Before I send it off, I’m going to shoot some groups at 15 yards and compare the groups after the tune. I’m pretty sure I remember him saying the rifle should be able to hold its own with a RedWolf at 100 yards !
