I shot the plate racks a bunch today. What great fun! I need to get the wife to time me but I think I'm around 2.25 seconds to clean a rack from high ready.
3 tins through the Venom now and no problems have arisen.
I also gave my Steyr ProX a go on the racks. At 28 fpe it's a bit too strong so I better not use it on them unless I can reduce the power as low as the Venom is.

Just to make sure I’m understanding you correctly. The impulse moderator comes with four baffles and you added three more?

I like this March DFP 1.5-15×42!
The IQ is better than I expected it to be and it's much nicer on 15x than my March DFP 1-10×28 is on 10x. There is a little blurr near the edges of the FOV which I knew would be the case based on video reviews I've seen before. The more I bring the magnification down the more pristine the IQ gets.
It's also a tad more refined feeling than my 1-10 as far as the controls.
The Shuriken turrets are GREAT and the way they lock is refreshing vs the snap up and snap down type of locking turrets.
Love the daylight bright center dot which is more bright than in the 1-10.
The reticle is well designed for this magnification range. too.
I did find a problem with the alignment between the FFP reticle and SFP reticle that needs to be fixed so that's a bummer. If I turn the magnification clockwise everything alignes, counterclockwise not so much, but that can wait until March gets their USA warranty department up and running.
I need to get lighter weight rings but these Vector rings were all I had at the moment.
Oh and was hitting my 3" spinner at 100y this morning way more than a 22 fpe pcp has any right to do. This gun is surprising!
My friend visiting, who hadn't seen the Venom yet, was amazed at the whole deal going on this morning!

Our airgun friend Kent had his annual fish fry this Wednesday and it's also an airgun plinkfest afterwards. We had 1/5th scale silhouettes at 40, 50, 60 and 70 yards which includes per rack, 1 ram, 1 turkey, 1 pig, and 2 chickens, and it was quite windy.
My friend Bobby tried the Venom and he seemed to think it was a fun gun for offhand shooting on the 1/10th scale closer in silhouettes. He had a grin on his face after mowing a bunch of them down.
I didn't find it hard at all to hit the 1/5th scale silhouettes off bucket and sticks, even the chickens which sometimes took a few shots to get at 70Y once I found out I had to aim out 2 mils, but it seemed easy to knock the chickens off from 40Y to 60Y.
Additionally I was for some reason shooting offhand better than I usually do and I could hit them all fairly often. My favorite time was at 60Y hitting the pig and the 2 chickens, those left over because friends were plinking thus the ram and turkey were gone, so 3 shots in a row for 3 animals while standing. I felt that much my success was because of the daylight bright CD, even though I was aiming out for windage. It draws your eye and since I was shooting my Thomas FT rifle previously I knew how far approximately to aim off. I also hit the two 70Y chickens offhand but it took almost the whole magazine to get em. Yes I think putting, now 4 tins, through the Venom, has helped my shooting as of late.
What a great day eating a delicious home cooked meal with friends and then plinking all afternoon with my favorite airguns!

You make it hard to keep my wallet closed! I just bought a raw mini hunter in 25 yesterday to use this fall in my rotation for squirrel hunting. I am thinking a long strike in 25 or a slash. Lol

Can't take the $ with you to the other side so might as well.
I'm thinking of getting a 12 fpe Raw pistol but putting a AR rear stock and 700cc bottle on it to plink a whole tin of pellets without needing to fill again until all 500 are gone.
Or getting another Venom.
I haven't heard anything from that old guy who supposedly ordered a Venom, also tried calling both his numbers twice, so I'm guessing his wife kicked his "you know what" up one side and down the other, then cancelled the order, lol. No airgun for you old man.

Man those raw pistols are very accurate I shot one of the first prototypes in 20 Cal And it shot lights out. I would love one in 20 set up as a carbine for hunting. I know the smaller aluminum bottle at 12 foot pounds would it easily get 60+ shots.

I was wrong, his wife approved, good job wifey, and apologies!
It turned out the acquaintance and his family went on vacation so he didn't want to order his Mordax, this one a Long Strike version, because he'd been gone more than a week, and something I didn't know about. I guess he turns his cell off.
He picked it up at AOA on his way back from San Diego so here it is.
I lent him an old Hawke 8-32 and the rings because all he has is old fixed 100Y parallax hunting scopes. We got it mounted, sighted in, hit some steel, and not much after that he had to take off.
His Mordax seems significantly more powerful than mine is. AOA sold him 25.4gr redesigns so it was hitting hard with the longer barrel. I must have won the lottery with the trigger in mine because the one in his is a pound heavier and not as smooth as mine.
Then I went out to our Wednesday shoot fest and showed another guy my Mordax. Of course the first thing I did was shoot it full auto on a steel plate which brings immediate laughter, lol. Then he shot it in semi and full and was super impressed.
I'm amazed what this thing can do because it was no problem hitting a 90Y spinner, size 2"x2.5" most of the time.

Yes it's loud!
He lives on 2.5 acres and says his neighbors won't care.
I'm trying to talk him into using a moderator but he's spent a lot of money so maybe in time he'll change his mind.
I don't have a spare one or....
